sneaking at 100 full thief gear and all perks wft

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 11:34 pm

Okay as the title states I have my sneak completely maxed and all perks. Yet I can go into anywhere in full sneak and be completely undetected yet people will still look dead at me even though it is telling me I am hidden and yet they are looking dead at new and follow me all over the place an even tell me I have to leave yet I am still undetected and not once was detected. This is one big show stopper for my thief. Hi tree can I break into anything with all these npcs following me all over the the place and what gives with the npcs seeing me through WALLS. I mean I am in another room no where's near them behind a closed door and steal something while not in sneak and I get a freaken bounty.

i think sneak has a few annoyances/bugs with it like not sure this is a bug but i feel it should be a bug but followers and horses will make you become detected even if your enemy doesn't see you... you come up as detected , however because your detected you wont get sneak attack on said enemy which is a massive annoyance when your just wanting to pop every one off from the shadows and you have a follower your not allowed to get rid, why do friendly followers even effect your detected/ hidden status seems stupid to me or you become detected by both because your follower runs in all ablazin instead of bloody well staying hidden!!!! -.- i don't usually have followers but for this quest i have no choice (damnit barbus!!!!)
then there's also that you could be in full sneak and attack an enemy without becoming detected and you wont get the sneak attack bonus.......3 times in a row it kinda makes being a thief/assassin difficult when stuff compromises sneak like that
the problem you have isnt something iv had a massive issue with i guess i do get it but it doesnt get in my way that much but deffo can see how annoying it is when sneak doesnt work like it should

I just do not get y it at all if you are undetected then they should not follow you at all and they should not be looking at you at all where there heads follow you when you move about and then follow you into every room you go into. It is not realistic if your undetected then they should carry on as if there is no one other then them in the building and not follow you around.

Try boosting up your stealth with a 'Muffle Spell' and wear some 'Muffle Enchanted Boots'. Even with full Sneak & Perks a little extra can go a long way.

Not sure what's the issue here. I mean you clearly are never 100% invisible so they can clearly see you, the sneak only applies if you're behind him and not making a sound to be detected.

Not sure how high you are, but there is a cap on stealth and smithing that I know of.

If you exceed it, it starts at 0 all over again. If I remember correctly... they said it was somewhere around 90 percent or so in the other thread.

Than the sneak icon on the screen shouldn't be showing full hidden.

Lmao, I just tested this... With the invisibility spell for the illusion class. I mean.. I went into some bandit mine and let them see me first.. Then I went invisible and waited until the eye said hidden. I circled around a bandit and yes.. his head was following me in whichever way I was moving. But he doesn't spot me which is weird and funny at the same time. But I'm still hidden and can still stealth kill and pickpocket the bandits. Weird but it doesn't seem to affect anything... With the house burglary and stuff I haven't tried but there's no point in going invisible in a house you're going to loot stuff from. Because once you touch something you turn visible again. Do it around the 12-4 am in game time where you know for sure that everyone in the house is sleeping. That's pretty much all I can give you in advise. Oh and in some houses... The children's never sleep like the blacksmith in Riverwood... I can never rob him at night, have to do it during the daytime when nobody is inside.

Sneak seems to suffer from som bugs yes.

For example I was shooting at some bandits, but I remained Hidden. The eye opened partly, but them the bandits moved away from my line of sight, s? I had to melee them.

I snook up behind a bandit which I had hit with arrows, I was Hidden and he had never spotted me, but he had been looking for me of course. So I stood behind him and wanted to pick-pocket him and recieved the error message "He has already caught you". No he hadn't caught me, he had never detected me.

exactly if someone is able to see you then this icon should not say your hidden
if someone has already caught you pick pocketing then this icon should not appear as though you are hidden
i also feel this icon shouldn't class you as detected if only your follower or horse detect you

and being in sneak behind or in front of someone doesn't really affect it iv had sneak attacks on someone i was right in front of but hidden i just think sneak is generally a little messed up

I fully developed the sneaking as well, and I can sneak just in front of some NPC. They do not see me. Others seems to have an higher sneakers detection. Also are you by yourself or you have a friendly NPC with you? I am not sure how the sneaking parameters apply to the companion.

with companions you might as well not have sneak
your companions constantly detect you so you don't get sneak attack bonus on anything even if you are hidden from the enemies because you are classed as detected thats if your companion doesn't decide to run in shouting god knows what and attacking everything they see completely blowing your cover or getting in the way of the deadly bow and arrow the only "followers" i have not had issues with in the sneak field is karliah, brinyolf, and mercer frey

i tend to be by myself too i don't like followers they push you off the edge of cliffs push you into doorways then block you in because for some unknown [censored] bizarre reason the AI doesn't stop walking once it is at you!!! they compromise your sneak get you caught by being detected themselves or pushing you into view of your enemy or activate traps behind you so you get hit with the trap despite you having the perk to not trigger traps and get in the way of far to many attacks

I have enchanted gear that raises my smithing and enchanting (not at the same time) skills by 50 points up to 150. At least for me, I can well surpass skill level 100.
