From what I understand so far armor is detrimental to your chances to sneak successfully. This can be mitigated by chosing the right sneak and armor perks.

But do all armor parts contribute to that equation equally? Is footwear still weighted more strongly in that department than other pieces of armor?

Also, is the weight of the footwear still a factor, or is the hindrance strictly categorized as clothing, light armor and heavy armor? Is sneaking around barefoot still a valid tactic or just an invitation for (of course not implemented) frostbite?
