...snow elf race?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:30 pm

Totally random thought kinda, but do you think Bethesda would maybe sneak a playable Snow Elf Race into Dawnguard?

Or maybe if the Snow Elf Prince shows up, people could just make his race playable?...

Sadly I doubt it as the snow elves devolved as a race into the Falmer, that being said I am curious to see what the deal is with the Snow Prince in Dawnguard or whatever the deal is.

Snow elves = Falmer personally I don't want to play as a falmer but that's just my opinion

well they didn't make alyieds playable in oblivion, but people were able to mod and put the race in, but since theres a script in the 1.5 update i would guess that some time soon were going to see a snow elf and no so long after some one will likely mod the game to add the snow elfs as a playable race (i recall seeing a mod on youtube that already had the snow elf race thought) if you have xbox aquire a USB storage device and you can probably find a way to get that mod on your Xbox360

All the Snow elfs didn't go underground with the dwarves so it might be possible they went north west to an island, or somewere north.

I doubt that would ever happen. I mean, Falmer being the twisted monsters one minute, and then BAM! a sparkly nice Falmer opens up stall in Whiteun.
Maybe in the next TES (if it takes place in the 5th era or something) but i doubt Humanoid Falmer will be making a return (as a playable race) anytime soon.

Possible but im thinking a later dlc would be a more viable option. Maybe in a Shivering Isles sized expansion seeing as the snow princes return would be a big deal

I know they devolved, but a snow elf prince? Didn't the dialogue that showed up in script say snow elf and not falmer? I could hardly imagine a little blind monster being called a snow elf prince. And talkin for that matter.

That's my point, I think the Prince won't be devolved somehow. Maybe it's his soul in the Soul Cairn? And you can bring him back to Tamriel?...????

The idea of a snow elf race doesn't seem possible. But maybe a quest to re-enter the time warp you open in the main questline and go back to when both dwemer and snow elves lived together underneath the ground. You could see what truly happened to both races and maybe play a part in the events that did unfold.

Well, to my knowledge, The snow Prince
Spoiler
was killed (by a little girl i think. No really) and his remains were in some place in Soltheim, because the Nords saw him honorable enough to be buried
so him being the state he is, plus adding vamps into the equation, we could see a cameo appearence.

I'm with you on this one jjDarkeye and if one tried coming into Whiterun he would get attack on site.

Come on Falmer attack, and kidnap anyone that not a Falmer also I think there cannibals as well.
Now that not a person I wanna see walking by me on the street.

You're thinking too much of ugly underground
falmer. I speak of the ones that looked liked humans. Like the one you saw as that huge statue in the thrives guild quest, which btw, is he the snow prince?

Like everyone kept saying, they were that depiction of the Falmer (Which, again, are Snow Elves) before they looked like what they are now.

If you want to be a insane, disfigured goblin, then sure. They won't bring them back in their former glory. You can't just pop a new race into Skyrim, especially one thats been basically dead for thousands of years.

Oh, OK I know what ur talking about, the Snow Elf before they became the Falmer and yeah that's the statute of the Snow Prince.

But didn't the nords hunt down the other Snow Elf's that didn't go underground?

I thought the Falmer were no longer Snow Elves. They are all born without eyes, whereas Snow Elves had eyes and a pronounced nose. Are the Falmer not genticly different? That would make them a new speices that have derived from the Snow Elves, so playing as a Snow Elf would not eb the same as playing as a Falmer

Fal = Snow
Mer = Elf
The Falmer we see today are the result of decades underground.
I mean, you'd be like that if you spent that much time with those Charus'. Gee Whiz...

Oh, I see. Well, that still makes a genticly different sub-species though. Although, I remember reading somewhere, that the Falmer that lived as slaves for the Dwarves had their eyes taken out. So, if that is true, the Falmer in Skyrim should still have eyes. Taking an body part from a parent does not effect the growth of the body part of the offspring.

yeah but the Dwemer had them eat this weird mushroom stuff that made them go blind and mutate

I don't know alot about Elder Scrolls lore, but I think like a Wolf Humaniod ( like the Kajhit) would be cool, maybe they travel to Tamreil from an uknown place figured out later on in the storyline? I doubt there will be any new races to play as in the DLC, becuase it would force players to start an entirlely new game ( wich isn't really a bad thing seance people are making more profiles for Dawnguard)

They would be more closely related to Altmer then Dunmer to be honest. Well to be entirely fair they aren't that closely related to either, but if you have to choose one then I'd go with Altmer.

Personally, I have no interest in the Falmer returning to their former state, just as I have no interest in trying to turn Dunmer into Chimer.
