The pup can be fed and every 24 hours it will grow a little bit IF you feed him!
The pup can also feed on DEAD ANIMALS.

Eating wolves gives it attack speed and damage.
Eating bears gives it health, armor and damage.
Eating spriggans and feeding it fire, void and frost salt gives it magic, fire, void and frost resistance accordingly.
Eating deer gives it movement speed and damage.

Your Snow Leopards last appearance depends on what you max first: Wolf and deer makes him SLENDER and muscular, Bear will make the snow leopard beefyer and bigger. In addition to this you can give him a secondary appearance change on top of the first one, by maxing magic resist, fire, frost and void salts coupled with conjuration skill of 75 or higher gives you conversation option to give him fire, frost or lightning enhanced claws and according glow in his/her eyes!

There is a animal handler in ravenrock and whiterun that can keep your pet for you and feed him meat. Eorlund Gray-mane and a new NPC in ravenrock can craft Snow leopard battle armor in:

Iron, steel, ebony and all other normal armors. With smithing you can craft him Daedric or Dragonbone battle armor yourself! You can also name him/her.
