Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 5:42 pm

Just wanted to see what you all thought in regards to some character/class ideas I had once DG Moves to PC, First off...

Pharaun
Age: 312
Height: 6’6”
Race: Altmer
Deity: Magnus/Clavicus Vile
Alignment: Righteous Evil
Class: Lich-Mage

Description: A Mage in the service to Magnus, on a quest to restore his staff to the world of mer and begin a cleansing of all those who oppose Aldemeri Rule

Background: Once a Prominent Politician in the Council Chambers on Sommerset Isle, Pharaun has been Cast out and stripped out his family’s surname for his ambitions to the Arch Mage Position. During his exile into the world of men, Pharaun became appalled at the actions and brutality of the man and beast creatures which inhabit the mainland. Also, while traveling the mainland, Pharaun came into contact with the beginnings of the group called the Aldmeri Dominion. Within this group, Pharaun would find the spark to ignite his disgust into something more. This growing hatred and outrage at all things not Altmer, drove him to seek powers which would allow him and the rising Aldmeri Dominion to rule. To do this, Pharaun, already an accomplished magister sought out an ancient Cyrodiilic Vampire named Janus Hasildor to turn him to the ways of the vampire. Hasildor is amongst one of the oldest and most powerful cyrodiilics left in the world and Pharaun thought he could turn this to his advantage. However, when Janus turned Pharaun down out of principal, Phauran cast his eyes to Skyrim in the hopes of appealing to the great vampire lord Harkon to give him the powered he craved to change the world. Having already sold his soul to Clavicus Vile for knowledge of the Vampire Lord, Pharaun began his search to the North for the famed Vampire Lord….

Next is...

Valas Dyrr
Age: 110
Height: 5’9”
Race: Dunmer
Deity: Clavicus Vile
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Class: Ranger/Collector of Souls

Description: Valas, once a good ranger in the hills of Cyrodiil, now is on a mission for Clavicus Vile to act as his champion and collector of souls in the realm of skyrim.

Background: A member of the Telvanni Dyrr clan, Valas enrolled in the traditional magic schools typical of the Telvanni of Morrowind. However, prior to graduating the school he left and sought after a purpose away from the family’s traditional lot in life. While living his life out on the island of solstheim, he became enamored with learning the ways of kyne, the Nordic Goddess of nature. He heard rumor of a Worship Collective in Bruma, Cyrodiil and decided to learn what he could about this group. During his time in Curodiil, Valas slowly heard the call of some otherworldly force, which he would come to discover, was that of Clavicus Vile. Valas was being called to become Vile’s Champion and Collector of Souls. For years, the call worked its magic on Valas, till he finally slayed his enclave and Kyne worshipers and harnessed their souls for Vile’s use. Having wiped out his enclave and complete his turn to Vile, Valas turned his eye towards Skyrim, being drawn to the growing mystical and civil unrest in the land. Just at the border of Skyrim, Valas encountered a battle between the two warring civil factions….a good start to the reaping of skyrim’s souls….

While hiding in the cupboard of their cottage, Sigrid watched his parents drained of all life and soul. From this point forth, Sigrid vowed to learn the martial and magical arts that would aid him in vanquishing the undead threat to Skyrim. When he was old enough to travel, Sigrid journeyed with one of the khajit caravans to the distant city of Anvil in the central province of Cyrodiil, it was time to get out of Skyrim. He sought out those who could train him for his oath and searched for weeks for the one who could teach him. During his time in Anvil, Sigrid was accepted into the Fellowship of the Crusader, a group dedicated to the Crusader that Arkay and Stendarr had jointly raised to fight the ancient evil Umaril. After many years of hard training and prayer to Stendarr, Sigrid finally achieved the power of his god in return for his service to Stendarr. At last, with his skills prepared, Sigrid has set off to Skyrim heading along the northern road from Cyrodiil. As he approaches the border with his caravan, a man named Lokir calls out that there is a fight ahead, Sigrid quickly ride to the front to see what all the commotion is about…..

Skill Distribution

7 x One Handed (primary damage dealing)
2 x Smithing (only enough to upgrade magical weaponry)
9 x Restoration (Anti-Undead)
8 x Enchanting (Magical Augmentation)

Would love to hear anyone's opinions on how I can build these characters better, or if im off on any of the Lore for the backgrounds and setups of these 3 characters. All characters are based off of meeting a minimum level range of 50-55 which I believe is reasonably achievable for any character class in Skyrim. Thanks for your thoughts!

I see...well thankfully he stands apart from the typical institution as he is self motivated...in fact this could work out well in providing an impetus to establish a new hall and chapel if we ever get custom buildings in a DLC or mod. Thanks for your input

Anyone know, lifespans of these races by chance? I have tried reading it in the Lore and couldnt find any. I would love to see some other people's ideas too, if you would like to post your character/builds.

It is wiped out as soon as you speak to isran, not as soon as the dlc downloads. I have a Vigilant and i see it working. There are still plenty of Vigilants roaming Skyrim and your story can be to get revenge

Not for me. As soon as I loaded my file-

Spoiler
The orc stopped me in Riverwood and told me about the Dawnguard. I went back and talked to him and he mentioned about the Hall being destroyed, so that gave me the idea to go check it out (before I even went to Fort Dawnguard) because I passed by it so many times before the DLC. There was nothing left of it. ust a burnt down house with everyone dead.

Yes. See the spoiler for more info if you want.

Spoiler
There is one that fights with the Dawnguard in the beginning. You'll also see some roaming around like normal, but they're hunting vampires and will almost always see them fighting one.

If your character has a committed backstory and you can stick to it and "become" that person then you will enjoy skyrim more. Like if you are going to be a strict assassin who leads the DB then you would never do the MQ because...obvious reasons. Some people enjoy it more than others. Also things like the Elder Scrolls Fanon Wikia are a breeding ground for inspiration and expression. I have 40+ characters and at least 30 of them have full backgrounds so i can atest that this OP is very fleshed out

On the PC with the option of Mods, RP can be expanded more with custom quests, armor, weapons, etc but on the consoles we have only our minds to rely on. I tend to already have a goal for the equipment and QLs i intend to go through when i start a character

Crowded Cities, RPG Project Jobs of Skyrim, and Adventurers and Travelers all add a ton to the world but seem to run together smoothly
