Some help on LotR:RotK please?

Post » Fri Mar 22, 2013 12:40 pm

Can someone perhaps offer a tip on RotK for PS2? I'm stuck on the freaking Pass of the Dead level, I just defeated the King of the Dead, but at the part after where you have to flee, I can't beat all the undead (which makes NO sense mind you, since the KotD just freaking yielded :/) at that first gate in time before the damn cave caves in. It's royally pissing me off like no tomorrow.

(I know it's an old game, but who cares)

Strange, I played that game and I had no such troubles. Can't exactly remember the level too well but if the place is collapsing is it not possible to run past the orcs? Maybe my love of the Osgiliath level always made me level a bit too much for the rest of the game. (Did you know that during the Osgiliath level the enemies actually stop spawning if you fight long enough. You're supposed to just run out of that place eventually but it's actually possible to kill every single enemy.)

Lol, it's not orcs, it's the undead. It's just after the fight with the King of the Dead and the pass is collapsing. Also, it's funny you should mention that. I actually fought every enemy in Osgiliath for the exp.

I remember that game, I got stuck on the level where you have to stop the orcs getting onto the wall at Minas Tirith. As far as I can remember you're supposed to just dodge the undead getting out of that area.

No, this is a different thing, the undead block the pass so you have to kill them all. Maybe it's just my ineptitude at hack n slash games, but still, it's kind of a dike move having a timed fight with 15-20 foes in a blocked zone.

Heh, no worries, at least I know I am not alone in having trouble there.

I recall mashing the X button through that level. Are some of the walls destroyable, or am I thinking of something else?
