I guess we have to see the full Qore to learn more? It's really hard to look at everything. This is why I like it when people put their trailers/ previews on youtube instead of some other thing.
Old world blues looks like its going to be good, i'd probably pay 1600 microsoft points if we get to go their again and do stuff but only if the enemies are leveled with our player and if there are more quests then just "Hey I captured you so now you have to do all this stuff cause I said so and you have to do it fast because there is neurotoxin and once you get to the last area it's going to blow up and you can never go there again."
The enemy looked like they had Hannibal mouth-masks on them. Wonder what the deal is with them. Hopefully they're not just the new Ghosts or Swampfolk in OWB.
Old World Blues footage looked quite interesting. It seems to have a lot of outdoor areas while I was expecting just endless corridon crawling inside some research facility so I'm pleasantly surprised by that. Outdoor areas gave me a tiny, tiny seed of hope that Old World Blues would be something like The Pitt or Point Lookout where we could return and explore the area even after finishing the story of the DLC but unfortunately I dont think that will happen.
The gear looked quite interesting aswell. The mask/helmet from one of the enemies looked pretty nice as did the armor the Courier was wearing. The energy pistol seen on the other hand didnt really impress me. The projectile was painfully slow which makes hitting moving targets a lot harder, the projectile animation will most likely get in the way when in 1st person and appear to be bigger than it really is making a lot of misses seem like hits when the waves pass through half of opponents body (Microwave Emitter, I'm looking at you).
But on the other hand weapons arent the main priority from the DLCs for me anyway as the current weapons are good enough to make pretty much any obstacle a cakewalk already. Unless one of the DLCs ups the difficulty of critters in the Mojave or adds some new encounters somewhere which might not be the most likely thing to happen.
Seriously we're getting the freaking Microwave Emitter again!? Am I the only one who's excited about this?
Yes. I fired it once, said "Ha, it's like the mezzer except it fires red energy. Ooo, worth a bunch of caps." Then I sold it, and haven't fired it once again in any of my playthroughs.
A mezzer as a non-lethal Energy Weapon would be interesting though.
