Some Idea's for Bethesda for Skyrim

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:19 am

A few idea's I have for Bethesda and Skyrim.

1 ) Different dog breeds. (I'm sure there are a few of us who cant stand the Irish Wolfhound breed.)
A ) Husky
B ) Malamute
C ) German Shepherd
D ) Saint Bernard
All of these dogs are hardy enough to take on the rough terrain of Skyrim. And they are all very loyal. And please, oh please, give us better commands for them. Like sit, stay, keep alert, do not attack, follow behind, quiet, and above ALL allow us to tell them to go home. OUR home, not to back where we found them.

2 ) Allow us to see where are friends are in the land of Skyrim. Like a little bubble with their GT in it while wandering around the land of Skyrim itself. Also allowing one to two friends only to join us on our adventures. Sure beats having the [censored] followers who get in the way easier.

3 ) Please allow us to name our pets and horses. Gets really annoying to see "Ride my horse" or "Ride XXX Black Horse" I like having names to my horses. Hence why I always go for Shadowmere and Frost.

4 ) Please make Shadowmere Essential. Or at least make her be able to come back alive stronger than before. What I am saying is, for every time she dies, make her where she will have a better level and a new power. She is daedric after all. So when she dies, then she is sent back to Oblivion, and reemerges with a better ability. Like for instance, first time she dies, her speed is slightly boosted, next time she dies, her health is improved, third time she dies, her attack stats are higher, fourth time she dies, she now has flames on her and NO saddles and ridding gear. She is a daedric horse, she should not be lassoed by humans, elves, orcs, khajjits, or argonians. She should have the story as to who she allows to ride her and who is not worthy. She has a much higher standing than those other horses, and I also think, there should be a divine horse counterpart. One that comes with a different kind of power. And to keep people from exploiting Shadowmere's abilities, make it to where the higher level the character is, the higher level she gains. I prefer it if she matches my level anyways, then I wouldn't have to worry about all the enemies being able to kill her, and she cant kill them. I HATE that!

5 ) To be honest, being a Dragonborn, is kinda boring. Know what what have been way better? Instead of learning only shouts, you should have made it that if we had gotten all the shouts, then we should have been able to transform into a dragon ourselves. That alone would have been allot of hard work to be able to get to that point. And allow us to design ourselves as a dragon. Oh and since we're on the dragon subject, why is it there are no four legged dragons? Four legged dragons look much better and their ability to move around is allot better. Their not as constricted enough to have to use their wings to walk and crawl around on. I would love to be a four legged dragon. Being able to roar loud enough to deafen an enemy, or to breath fire and ice, and the ability to tail swipe. I would love it more to become a dragon rather than become a dragon rider. Oh and do please turn it into a first person view as well. I want to see in first person on both horse back, werewolf form and the dragon form. :D

6 ) Oh and last but not least, please fix the issue with things not staying where I put them in my house. Its getting old. :(

So if I come up with more, I'll edit this thread and put it in a different color so everyone knows what is new.

1. I totally agree! They should at least at the Husky, it fits Skyrim better than the current dog IMO. All dog breeds should also have different strengths and weaknesses.

2. Do you mean co-op? I don't think I like that idea...

3. YES! It would make it a lot more worth to buy a horse...

4. ....meh...

5. Absolutely not, being a dragon would be way to OP. Being able to mount a dragon is on the limit of being acceptable, but being a dragon is absolutely way too OP in my opinion.

1: no one cares about pets its a lame idea .
2: theres no need to see where you friends are because they dont travel around and the NPC's that do dont have an in-depth dialogue for you to form a bond with.
3: theres no need to name pets becuase pets are not going to happen lol.
4: shadowmere leveling up through dying doesnt make any sense lol.

5: turning into a dragon ..... i like :D

Tiger's, snow leopards, and some mountain lions get to see snow. But other than that, I cant think of any more cat breeds that get to see snow. Other than the Sabre Cat. :(

Lynx (bobcat) gets to see snow

I'd rather have lynx as a wild animal though

I so want number 7

Here are some of mine
1) Improved Cities More buildings and such.
2) Get economy working,
3) Have people replace other people when they die.
4) Maybe allow us to be a Jarl of some Solthiem or Blackreach and allow us to build it up.

Yes, I do very much miss my acrobatics. As of spells, I like some, but the one's I used to have in Oblivion was awesome. Even though Im never the mage type. Im usually the warrior one. Except now I'm becoming quite the archer now. I also would like to see more armor and clothes. At least some much needed brighter coloring clothes. Shape shifting would be awesome. And of course I build my own house if I could. And one more thing I'd like to see in Skyrim, some much needed green environment. Honestly, Whiterun and Riften are in the two best spots to be green. The grass and trees shouldn't even be yellow. Their in the perfect place to have snow run off and streams and rivers flowing into them to stay green for quite some time.

Ok 1,3 and 6 are sensible choices. The others are...well insensible is the word I guess Ill use just so I wont sound rude.

2) This is not a technological society where you can track your friends like on an iphone. Its medieval times and they of course don't have this sort of thing back then. I guess I could see it happening but it would take designers alot of time Im sure to get this into the game. There are so many more important things the devs could be working on right now. My advice...dont forget your followers!!

4) I guess I could see this happening and it would be fun without all the abilities and such but why not just design Shadowmere as a flaming horse without the death effects? Horse are not designed to be "attack" mounts or like companions. Their purpose is to get you around faster without using the traveling system. Shadowmere doesnt need any special abilities. Its also dumb in my opinion that horses even bother to attack an enemy at all rather than run away like a normal horse would.

5) I think you are kind of missing the whole point of the game. First off, the way you typed this paragraph would offend a dev. Saying a "dragonborn is boring" would definitely offend me were I in his shoes. And secondly, this is not about you being a dragon, its about you being "dragonborn". Being able to be a dragon like a werewolf transformation takes out of the context that you are a normal human with shout abilities. For example, Werewolf transformations happen because you still remain "human size" within a sizable degree and fits within story. Also being able to fly would mean that you can bypass the loading sequence of "entering" the cities. Which means instead of flying in a city full of people you would see nothing more than an ingraphical ghost town because you are still technically outside its loading zone. Dragon arms meh I guess they could grow a few extra limbs... The wings they have to stand with are more than adequete for now though. If you want this "become a dragon" business I'm sure they got a mod for this on pc somewhere. Just buy an expensive pc, rebuy the game and then enjoy your dragon! :)

we will never ever be able to ride or turn into dragons, that idea svcks. i agree with john for the rest of your post and id like to add to your list: what bethesda promised would be in before hand (realistic economy is the msot important!), more pets in general, everything from past TES gamesthat could possibly fit (it is a seris, it is supposed to keep what i has developed over the years instead of throwing it out every new game)

Oh yes, yes, indeed. Being Jarl of Black Reach would be AMAZING!!! Although, I catch just one citizen touching those floating glowing mushrooms, and someone is gonna end up in a deep dark dungeon for the rest of eternity. And I wouldn't want it completely lit up either, cause then it'll take out all the beauty out of it. Although, if we're to build a city down there, then we should at least have a quest that allows us to learn how the dwarves built their structures.

I would if I had the money to spend on a $2000 gaming computer. But as I am typing off of a laptop, that wouldn't work. Not to mention, my Skyrim is on my Xbox.
