Crysis 2 will start to falter online (perhaps it already is) if Crytek don't patch what people want. As for Killzone... thought that was already a coaster (I kid, I kid).
But yeah, of course they'll have comminities smaller than MW. Only CoD can topple CoD. That series is like Superman compared to others... invulnerable to attacks (though the Kryptonite in this case will hopefully be Activision milking it dry like Guitar Hero).[/quote]
I think theyve missed their opportunity tbh. most ppl wont stick around if theres issues, they just return back to cod and bc2 etc. To establish a new ip within a well saturated market, u have to go in strong, just look at homefront. sold well, but ppl just couldnt be bothered and traded it in within no time, due to the issues.
I actually dont want to get rid of this game, but im not sure how strong community will be, and just think whats point keeping it, if its a struggle to get games online. i can still get great price for it trade (more than i paid), and i can get rid of kz3 when i finish the sp, and have £52 in my pocket for new games. I could even pick up mw2 again and be guaranteed games online for my quick thrills(lets be honest crysis2 plays kinda like cod online anyway) and still have enough left for bf3 after, plus i got halo reach and bc2 in meantime.
I just really dont know what to think about this mp any more. I think its days have come and gone already. there will be a small group of ppl playing for a while, but think beyond that, its dead.
Mw2 is what 3-4 years old now later this year, mw1 is older than time itself, but u can still get games online. I detest activision, and black ops was woeful on ps3 and 360 imo, and wold glady watch the series die now, but for crysis to have a community less than mw2 already is embarrassing, and says a lot about the online structure of the game that u can get games online with a smaller community years later, and still be relatively lag free
They really missed a great opportunity here imo
