Some roleplaying idea's

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 1:01 pm

Hey guys

When I played Skyrim recently, I came up with 2 small roleplaying idea's:

1- playing as the son of ....

=> I was wondering that it would be really cool to be the son of Ulfric Stormcloack for example. Your mother may have been passed away during some kind of fight, or she may have been kidnapped ...
You can join your father to retake Skyrim or if you want to disobey him you'll join up with the empire to defeat and kill him later on.

2- playing as some kind of Grim reaper

=> I'm kind of trying this at the moment. Yesterday I saw the movie "Solomon Kane" and I got the idea of playing as the Grim reaper in skyrim.
I already had the Headman's axe (huge axe) and levelled up my 2-handed. I'm wearing black robes (not yet enchanted) and a cap (currently the one from Linwe, but I'm looking for the Guild masters hood as soon as I've completed the Thieves Guid questline). The reason I'm using these caps is because there aren't any unchanted decent other caps in Skyrim, and the nightingale hood just doesn't fit into the Grim reaper style. I'll probably get myself some armor boots and gloves though (perhaps Daedric, who knows).

What do you guys think of these ideas and do you have some special roleplaying of your own?

You can figure out itself though, make your own story of who you think deserves to die etc...
If you want to "Skyrimonize" it you can be the grim reaper of the Daedric gods instead of the devil. I just found the clothes to be fitting at the moment. I still need to unlock the Daedric smithing perk though.
Then I will look further into the story behind him. If you would have idea's of your own, I'm happy to listen to them.

The first one sounds okay and the second one sounds interesting.

. . . And speaking of Roleplay ideas I'll tell you one of my own ideas: You're a dishonoured imperial legion legate and you have fled to Skyrim but before you could cross the border out of Cyrodiil you were cought by a Imperial patrol, you must fight to regain your honour, repay your crimes and earn your freedom by fighting for the Empire or seek revenge and make a new name for yourself by helping the Stormcloaks free Skyrim.

I had one in mind. You were a successful general in the imperial army in the great war, and then the emperor decided to send you to Skyrim to solve the storm-cloak problem; great chance anyone any general would kill for. But as you are preparing, a rival general to the post plants false evidence proving you were planning murdering the emperor. This rival is General Tullius.

You are sent to the arena to fight to your death, but wins your freedom. You then travel to Skyrim in hopes of taking revenge on Tullius, but he knows that you are coming and ambushes you when you cross the border. After you escape Helgen, you are furious, and immediately joins the storm-cloaks to take revenge.

I bet no one can figure out which film i borrowed stuff from :)

Sounds quite like my Imperial - Barbarossa Clavicus - she's the 62 year old widow of a murdered general, who was wrongfully accused of treason by the emperor. She's in Skyrim on a revenge mission.

Level 60 battlemage and has completed Bards, College, CW and Main questlines. She just has to finish the DB, but the character in my avatar will be doing that first.

For the Grim Reaper you should use the Redguard black and red hood that Nazir has in the Dark Brotherhood.

EDIT: Oops i meant Nazir :P

I've made a Psycho Chef who kills people with a Fork and Knife. you can be anything in Skyrim.

Here's an idea for The Reaper. gonna be talking as him from now on.

My father was killed by the Dark Brotherhood because he stopped a murder. i was left alone to wander the streets. they burned down our house and all i was left with was the clothes on my back. i was hungry. and it was getting dark. i found a black rock. [ black soul gem] i thought maybe i could carve it to kill something and eat some food. but something inside the rock talked to me. it told me to go inside an abandoned building. i found a garden scythe and some black robes. i put them on. i was so cold. the black rock told me it would protect me as long as i did it's bidding. i now control the threads of fate. killing those before there time comes. just as my father was killed. and avenging my father by seeking out the Dark Brotherhood. i Am The Reaper.

That is not bad, but I would let the Grim Reaper first die. Or make some kind of evil contract with the Daedra. Just to make him more inhumane ;)

I actually got my favorite role playing idea from that in beta role playing ideas article on UESP for Skyrim. My character Gutslit is an outcast character. I started doing what I always do with roleplays, I made the idea just a part of the character rather than it being a way they live. The wiki says to not go into towns unless it's when stores are opening or about to close. I decided it'd be more interesting to have a Khajiit who has lived his entire life homeless and an outcast gradually gain some self-confidence through helping those who are hated in Skyrim. The Dunmer and Argonians are who he prefers to be in the company of, and will even drink some Skooma at the Cornerclub in Windhelm just to give the bartender some company.

I still have the character always wear a hood, and he's always in a black robe. Never wears armor and likes to sneak around and use archery as his main form of attack. He also will just sit there and listen to what everyone in a tavern is saying so he can get an idea of what those people are like.

I'm roleplaying a female nord called Amanthis. She's like a crazy crazy nord. She loves the nords, loves Skyrim and wants to get rid of every other race in the continent, and of course hates the empire.

The backstory fits the intro perfectly: a stormcloack that is going to be executed. So she escapes and now she's trying to make Skyrim a only-nord place. An evil warrior/assasin (and extremely angry) character that kills everyone who is not a nord! And doesn't give a damn about it.

She also only uses ancient nord armor and weapons. No exceptions.

It's fun.

Here is an option for a Grim Reaper that I made today in character creation, not the best but it looks good imo:

Although it is my imperial character (not the grim reaper I made in character creation => it was just a test) the combo really does it :D

Hope you guys enjoy the setup

That looks great! Interesting idea, do you mean the shrouded cowl (light armor) or shrouded hood (clothes)?

IIRC you can't wear a hood with the black robes, it has it's own?

New roleplay idea: A bandit chief, this roleplay build works best on PC since you can set yourself as apart of a bandit gang and summon hordes of bandits, so basically you need to make your charcter look rugged, tough and bandit like, preferebly using a Nord, Redguard or Orc character, give them low level bandit armour or the Horned Scale armour if you can find any, give them Iron, Steel or orcish weapons, use some ranged combat, become a member of the TG so you can use the fences, attack random travelers and be an all round nuisance.

Note, if you want to play this Roleplay build on a console find a follower that uses low level bandit armour by default and have no moral (Benor, Eola, Belrand, Erik The Slayer, Jenassa. Stenvar and Vorstag) also travel with a dog, easiest to find is Meeko.
