"It is going to be designed so it won't sink."

Oh, that worked really well last time!

And it's being made in China this time so now it's a guarantee that it'll sink.

It did, actually. In fact, if the Titanic had hit the iceberg in almost any other way it wouldn't have sank. If it had simply rammed the Iceberg it wouldn't have sank. If it had hit the iceberg just a little higher or lower so that it didn't hit one particularly weak rivet seam it wouldn't have sank. If it hadn't just reversed its engines it wouldn't have sank.

Titanic was supposed to have an outer, harder layer designed to penetrate ice-blocks wtih ease. However, it was never built and that's why it sank when it hit the block of ice.

Not sure if that's true or not, but that's what I remember my history teacher saying.

Yes... but at the end of the day, the unsinkable sank.

It was never called unsinkable until after it sank, I believe.

Perhaps so, but let's just hope they have enough lifeboats this time around, just in case eh?

Well as long as they don't take it into the north sea it shouldn't hit an iceberg.

Yeah. That's not tempting fate or anything. I wouldn't suggest anyone here goes and takes a ride on that.

Ooh.. there's a boat I wanna be on.. and then curse the most foul mouthed obscenities imaginable at every iceberg we pass..

'You call yourself an iceberg? I have bigger ice cubes floating in my damn drink!'

'You're nothing but a gazillion unique little snowflakes, with serious personal space issues!!!'

'Hey! you're nothing but water, *in* water... take a hint!'

..and watch all the anxious looks from the rest of the passengers as I yelled.
