when i was looking at gameplay videos, trailers, and screens for Crysis2, ive been noticing that they almost ALWAYS have a scar in their hands, this better not be like Crysis1 where the scar is the only good automatic weapon

There's all kinds of articles floating around that indicate there's a large variety of weapons in the game.

I hope they bring back the AK and maybe throw in some others.

I can't actually think of footage i've seen that features mainly the SCAR. I've seen tonnes of shotgun, pistol, sniper and even rocket launcher usage

yea but most games usually need a few different assult rifles. in crysis 1 that was the fy17, but it was so inacurate in comparison, and it only did good damage when you gave it incindiary ammo

yeah you have right...or like in MGS4...in any image you see of old snake you will see it with the M4A1 or de Ak102...but...there's many other weapons in the game like the mk.17 (SCAR) or the XM8 (crysis scar??) or...i don't know just a lot

xm8 is not the scar, it looks kinda similar with the shape and the similar rail system, but the xm8's out now arnt even made out of steel for the most part.

but the Scar from Crysis isn't the SCAR too...the original SCAR is the Mark.17 (SCAR-H model) but...there's no importance

im aware of that, but technically almost all assult rifles are "SCARS" because SCAR stands for standard combat assult rifle. the mk.17 is just a different kind. just like how the missle launcher in crysis is called the "LAW" and while i cant remember what the exact iunitials are, its just i kind of rpg that has to be thrown away after being used

what's it the amunittion from the Crysis SCAR...cause...the SCAR-L is 5.56 if i'm not wrong...but anyway...there's a good armor and the primary weapon from Crysis 2...and for that appears in all images from Crysis 2

PD: the scar-L and the SCAR H had the same model of weapon..
SCAR-L is Mk.16
SCAR-H is Mk.17

I thought Scar was (Special operators Combat Assault Rifle), will this affect naming schemes or am I just not good with Sci-fi weapons?

tht's it it's jujst other scar...cause...I guess...the selection of SCAR weapon in reallity is some kind of Competitioon of weapones, to decide what weapong wil be the next "SCAR"

This is what I heard in my head while reading this thread Its my fault really.

The 'S' in SCAR is short for Special Operations Forces, but SCAR is a title, someone already mentioned the actual names of the rifles, Mk .16 etc.

Personally I prefer a bullpup config with rifles, but I think the rifle in Crysis looks cool.

alright, lets get off the point about the name and concept of the scar, shall we?

basically...and finally after this...useless "discussion" it's a good weapon...the standard weapon of Crysis 2...and...this is it...just a weapon in a lot of many weapons

i think the reason is why the scar is the most viewed weapon is
that Crytek wont to spoil to many weapons
