Something that's seriously been eating at me.

Where exactly did the Bright Brotherhood go? I know it's the 'Great Beyond' IE space. But if you complete it the Good way, they fly off into space, and judging my some endings, they got there successfully since they came back to save NoVac. I wish Obsidian would explain where they go. :cryvaultboy:

I think its better that it remains a mystery. Maybe in a future game they will deal with the space aspects more.

I know, but I just wonder where they go, I mean, the fact they end up in space and COME BACK shows they had found a place that allows them interplanet travel. :bonk:

That is another possibility. Or maybe another alien space craft was in the area they came across.

I agree with Gandler. It might end up being a fallout mystery alot like what happened to The Valdez and the vagrants. Something to keep us wondering for a future game.

They come back?

After watching those rickety old rockets take off, I figured they just blew up beyond my eyeline.

Yeah, IIRC, they come back to NoVac in an endslide and take as many as they can to safety. It makes me so confused.

I thought that remnants that were left behind helped rebuild, not the BB who launched off?

I always assumed they touched down somewhere in the area without habitat, a highly irradiated area maybe and assumed it was their heaven (I've forgotten what they called it) the thought of them making it into space never occurred to me. It takes a long time to get to Mars, longer than the game allows (in fact: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127368225
They've landed on Mars I think...)
realistically. Okay granted you might play for more than 500 in game days allowing for a quick turnaround to Mars but that feels wrong, I don't see the battle at Hoover dam waiting for one and a half years...

The moon is possible but again without a means to launch themselves back to Earth I can't see it working. Even then they'd have to launch back to the Mojave and it's not really a point and shoot thing...though given the rockets are House's it's plausible they have some continuous auto pilot which would let them return to a safe destination near take off.

I dunno, it just feels a little far fetched for me, I know this is Fallout and with SCIENCE! it could well happen, there's numerate possibilities for what they could do but it still feels more likely they just found a promised land which was just a patch of mildly unoccupied earth...

I think they just turned around in mid-space and never really landed anywhere

That is how i understood it too.

And why do you get bad karma for setting the rockets to collide into each other? I'm doing a good thing by exchanging a slow and painful death in space to a quick and flamy one :P

Here you go (WIKI):

Ending slide if player completes Come Fly With Me, completes any endgame quest except Veni, Vidi, Vici:
'Though Novac was a low-priority target for the Legion, many of Novac's citizens died in its defense. In the weeks that followed, several Bright Followers returned to Novac to help restore its defenses, allowing it to remain independent of the NCR'.

Ending slide if you improve the navigation:
'During the Legion's attack on Novac, Bright Followers, returning from their long pilgrimage, assisted in its evacuation. Though Novac eventually fell to the Legion, many citizens of Novac were able to escape, alive and intact.'

Strange.

I don't think that thy came back. If you think you see dead broth followers along I-15 and by devils throat. The bright followers may be from ALL over and they came together too help Novac

No I just finished up my House game. they had an ending slide that said " novac lost people due to Legion attack but a few bright followers returned to the city and helped rebuild the defenses and Novac was all better." *not an exact quote*

I helped them launch without sabotaging them. So I'd say that they're rockets didn't make it into space. They crashed somewhere not to far from Novac and the survivors made there way back to REPCONN and found Novac in trouble and helped out. Thats my guess. they help out because of the two humans that helped them out.

You have to wonder, how much of a "long pilgrimage" could it have been if they came back for the battle of Hoover Dam... :whistling:
