Something you really hate, but also need them

Post » Tue Aug 07, 2012 7:58 am

Is there's something or someone you really hate, but you also need them or use them frequently?
For me, it was cellphones. I hate them and their [censored] signal radiation. But I also need them for emergency (well, you never know what would happen to you). So, I can't really throw those thing away. Especially it's my brother's memento..

I've never understood people who swear they hate cell phones or don't see the point of smart phones. It's like saying you hate the internet and don't see why anyone would want to use it.

I hate all the safety rules at work and technical orders. Pain in the butt.

I hate radiation. The universe would be a pretty cool place without it.

Especially since the sun wouldn't be doing anything and we'd all be dead.

Politics. Both in government and in the workplace. Also, bureaucracy, it can be argued as unnecessary, as I believe, yet it is here to stay.

The overuse of cellphones can be annoying, with people demanding answers the very second and being insulted if you do not give one.
You are expected to carry it at all times and good god when you go without it for a few days.
They will have the army banging at your door, thinking you have been kidnapped and mutilated a few hours ago already.

Those old phones were great, not answering it meant that someone wasn't home.

I'm not too fond of having to breathe all the time, but I suppose it's kind of necessary.

I had a friend who liked walking barefoot, and hates shoes because they just feel unnatural. Of course, he had to wear them because he lives in the city and without them, he wouldn't have a job, a girl, friends.

Landline? o.O

No it would be great without safety rules. The other day I get yelled at for walking through a hangar door what wasn't open the mandated 10 feet (and it couldn't be open because we were under 'phase 1 winds' which mandates all hangar doors must remain closed, but we had to run a generator to a jet inside the hangar so had to open it enough to run the equipment through...Then I had to go shut the equipment off and wasn't about to walk the whole way to use the door on the side of the hangar..)..

So yeah was told if QA had seen it I would've had to go see the commander, possibly get an article 15 and who knows what else for a Direct Safety Violation (I think you can even lose a stripe for a DSV). All for walking through a 5 foot gap instead of a ten foot gap. The doors aren't even powered, it takes like 3 people to close them, so I'm sure I could've gotten smashed to death.

Another example, we were moving parts out of one jet into another right next to it. We had a stand set up between the wings so you could literally remove a part and walk across the wing onto the other jet...Nooooooo. QA says you need to have a stand at each jet and take a 200 pound part onto one stand, lower the stand, walk around to the other jet, lower that stand, put the part on that stand, raise the stand and then carry it onto that jet.

Screw safety :<

I hate sleep too. But in fact I need it.
And I hate polution, it's not good for my health. Earth has seen better days without them.
But in fact, I need transportation to go to faraway distance.

Waste of time, eating. Some food can taste good, sure, but I'd rather be doing something else, and usually am doing something else while eating.

Sleep?... sleep... sleep!? Whats wrong with sleep!?

Though sometimes I get insomnia I can assure you my favorite thing is sleeping! It's my favorite thing in the day. I really look forward to going to bed every day. :ermm:

I dislike cars and bra's. They can go in room 101 thanks.

Sleeping takes up too much time. Imagine how much you could do if you never had to sleep? You've like increased your time to do fun stuff by 30%!

I'm tired if I have less than 10 hours of sleep. In fact I pretty much am always tired. Not sure why. If you could say take a pill where you didn't need to sleep and you'd not be tired I would give it a go but wouldn't you be worried you'd be stuck with your own thoughts for too long? Sometimes I bore myself and it is good to have a break from... well consciousness for a while, plus being snugly wrapped up in bed is something to me that I would not trade for anything. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Snorlax_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29 http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Jigglypuff_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29 Edit: not sure why even Pokemon get linked here... something to do with their sleepness I think. Either way they needed more publicity! ^_^

I'm sure if your pretty much nocturnal you would learn to see in the dark. Oh just remembered that Laptop/Computer will take up power. Maybe you could do something non computer related in the nighttime? Do night school or something?

I don't use lights at night as it is already, and I have some computers that run 24/7 anyway. So no increase in electric bills :P
