No idea how to search this out, so apologies if this is a known thing:

In the Soul Cairn, in the half that contains the building where Valerica's being kept, there's a building with one of those giant floating soul gems and one of those posts with a glowing green/turquoise orb. This particular building is straight west out of the entrance to the Boneyard (the structure where Valerica is being held). In this building, below the floating soul gem and glowing green orb, is a soul (female?) sitting in front of a chest. You can't get to the chest (or her) because there are bars that keep you out. When I used ice spike on the green orb, only half of the bars went down, so I still couldn't get to her. I tried firebolt, lighting bolt, and a standard arrow, too, but none of these lowered the second set of bars. I used the console to turn off clipping and explore the top of the structure (where the soul gem and green orb are) but there is nothing up there of note (no teleporter, for instance, or any form of triggering device).

Does anyone know how to make the rest of the bars lower?

I think there's another one on top of a building nearby? Have a wander around.

Geez - found it - the 2nd orb was on the same set of structures, but like, inside an alcove - glad you suggested to me that I wander around more. Thanks.
