Spain and Argentina want anti-British alliance

Post » Tue Aug 13, 2013 11:08 am

Well... crap.

Yeah, ever since Spain started trying to take Gibraltar from Britain (an island between the two countries) and Britain didn't let them have it, Spain and Argentina have together formed an anti-British alliance. If you don't know, Argentina lost the Falklands War in the 80's after trying to take the Falklands Island Chain from Britain.

Not going to lie, I'm a little worried. While I doubt it would lead to war, but if it did. You know, well, I live in England. :P I feel this 'Alliance' will probably only aim to give Britain the shaft through loss of trade and the such.

Britain did send ships to Gibraltar on its way to Mediterranean bases to exercise its authority there.

Currently, Britain controls the islands, and it seems that the inhabitants are happy with this. It's worrying when two of the county's oldest enemies may become buds...

While this would be interesting to discuss, unfortunately its life line is governed by our rules against politics.

Trust me, the US is in hot water also.

WW3 might be amongst us or a "colder war"

Hmm, I realize that now...

Thing is though, North Korea is losing allies every day. China may not be America's biggest fan, but it has no interest in war. It may ditch NK.

Oh God, isn't one of the mods from Spain... D: I don't wanna get banned!

I find it slightly worrying that I only see this as a "You svck!" kind of thing rather then something serious.

Still funny.

The possibility of war between three well-developed nations amuses you? The possibility of death and economic disaster... amuses you?

I seriously doubt it will end in war. Like I said, this is there way of saying "Yeah, we don't like you! So...yeah! Take that."

Britain would win I think, if there was ever a war.. France would join in to so its even more pointless for Spain. Spain has been behind for so long that I don't think they caught up yet. I see the point trying to be made by Spain but Gibraltar has been British for a very long time..
