Spamming

With the addition of console gamers on the forums do you think it will be overwhelming with the amount of users on the forums?

I think that there should be seperate Console and PC discussion sections.

However, I do seem to be able to keep up with everything so far. ;)

I'd also like a separate section for each platform.

I really miss the slew of sub-forums gamesas used to have, like the "Other Games" section under "off topic". IMO it kept everything nice, orderly and filed. Maybe I just have OCD but it was pretty sweet.

No, because a mess of scripted boxes wil be equally confusing and unusable on consoles.

Chances are the most of the console people will hover around on the site till more stuff on beta is announced, then few days of whining about the beta being on PC and not console. It will die down.

it might get overwhelming for load times on the site do to all the traffic as seen for the past couple of hours lol but other then that it would just be another sub forum for ppl to add topics that dont pertain to the topic at hand

Weaver, I can't quote your post for some silly reason, it leaves out all your text.

As to your question, no I am not a mod here, because it is apparently illegal for a person < 18 to be volunteer staff on this site. The only staff on these forums are the CMs afaik.

I would think that many console players, not having a keyboard will cause them not to comment on forums. I would doubt they get a computer out just to comment on the gamesas forums, so I doubt you will not get much spamming. (Like my penta-poosting earlier...)

The load times and the "spamming" is probably due to the high traffic due to this site being linked on Kotaku.

Wonder whether that effects me then, with my 18th being in.. 1 day. :P

In regards to the spam, no, i doubt that anything will change as a result of console gamers being on the site. I'd be surprised if they did in all honesty.

I do wonder why so many assume that console gamers are the type to crayon over the forums, particularly when many PC gamers are not much better from what i've seen.

Don't worry, my silliness comes from the fact that it's 7:15am here and I haven't yet slept.

I would expect that if the quantity of posters increased so would the amount of annoying posters. Not so much because they are console gamers, since there really isn't much different between the two, but rather because that is how it works anywhere else in the world.
You just have to hope that the mod squad is diligent with their ban hammers to keep the amount of annoying people to a minimum.
