you need to equip them in each hand, and then press simultaneously for a power up spell.
To equipe, press both trigger or M1/M2 from the inventory or Fav.

They need to be the same spell and you need a perk in whatever school your spell is in.

I had a lightning and fire spell in my hands once. Just hold down LT/L2 on console before you select.

They don't need to be the same spell... but you have to have the perk.

Go to your spell list and if you have Xbox 360 press L2 for on spell and R2 for the other spell. There you go, one spell for each hand. Depending on the system you have, it's just different buttons but it is possible. I've done it countless times.

No....

You need the perk to dual cast the same spell, not to dual equip spells. You can equip 2 spells from the start.

i got it to work by accident here is the way i did it:

-add the spell(s) you want to dual wield to your favorites
-leave the spell menu
-open favorites by pressing q
-assign hotkeys to the respective spells by highlighting them in the favorites and pressing a hotkey of your choice 1-8
-to equip a spell in the right hand press the hotkey twice to equip in the left hand once

that should do the trick

I followed the instructions as indicated. When I click the L mouse the General stats screen pops up and zip. I must be missing a step, but I don't know where.
