I'm trying to make a spell tome for a bound weapon variant.

I've created the magic effect, created the spell, copied an existing book and changed it to point at my new spell. I even got as far as placing the tome in game.

And when my test PC reads the book. it vanishes and announces that my spell has been learned. But it doesn't appear in the PCs spell lists.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the tome or the spell, thinking about it. Anyone run into this before?

OK, I tried adding it from the console. It still doesn't show. So the title here should be "spell doesn't appear in inventory"

Check to make sure that your magic effect has the "Magic Skill" ,under "Delivery", is filled with whichever magic skill you choose
