Spellperk graphics question

So I'm not familiar with the trend in modern mmos, and I've never played age of Camelot, but I was curious about the graphics of spells and just the diversity. The videos don't show much I guess, but some games tend to be really generic. Like area of effect spells for different elements that basically look the same, just dealing different elemental damage. Or I guess to pick on skyrim, the fireball spell and the light spell that came with the dlc.

I'm just curious what other people's thoughts were, because I know I'd always like a little diversity. Like maybe a long range fireball spell, and a midrange spell where you breathe fire instead. An ultimate move that creates a column of fire. Spray wall spells like in skyrim and ones that look more like real wall sections. A greater diversity of summons so everyone isn't just summoning the same thing (granted, part of a secret desire to summon a rampaging mammoth).

I know it's a minor point, but it seems like something that adds a little individuality to different classes.
