I just started a spellsword and I was planning on using bound weapons, but I am very confused on which I should use the most, Bound Battle Axe or Bound Sword? (I don't care about the crit chance because of the run attack)

Bound sword does more damage(bound bow does more than both) and you can dual wield it or use a shield with it.

well, you are a SpellSWORD, so i think the question just got answered. plus you want a free hand for spells.
