spent more time today decorating and buying groceries than d

And it was totally awesome! love the new tools for decorating (bookshelves to easily place books) weapon racks. as well as the cooking, it always bugged me in oblivion that I could hunt deer and whatnot, but all I could do with the hide/meat was vendor it or use it for alchemy.

I spent several hours today lightening my bag space by going though all the cupboards/dressers/chests in my newly decorated house and finding storage for alchemy supplies, food and cooking supplies, even a liquor cabinet.

I also discovered I had cooking recipes for some stews with some cool buffs and actually walked on down to the market stalls to buy groceries so I could cook them.

I was totally nerding out and had a blast.

I plan on doing this when i get a house that has a armory in it also (i think the only one is windhelm) and going to get things specifically to make weapons and shields and such to decorate my house.

Cool, where do you get ingredients for making food?

What's the fastest way to level up cooking?

Sounds awesome.

I can't wait until I can buy a house. I just don't have the money yet. Then again, I only started playing tonight.

But once I have a house, I can spend hours and hours decorating it, and then doing things like shopping, cooking, etc.. I'm glad we can Roleplay a lot more this time around.

cooking supplies are usually just drops from npc's or stuff found in chests, boxes barrels etc around the world, and inns and markets will usually sell stuff too.

It doesn't look like you have to "level up" cooking. the first time you come across and cook pot you already have several recipes. I do seem to have more than when I first cooked but not sure what its based off of. could be location, or character level.

Yeah, I had the same kind of fun discovery. I'm particularly happy with the vegitable soup. +1 heath and +1 stamina per second for 720 seconds. It's basically a regeneration buff for 12 minutes and all it cost is 4 fairly common vegitables. Awesome!
