The graphics would suffer a lot in split screen, although i suppose they still could do it, but if l4d1/2 is anything to go by the xbox would be going for a naptime and heading off to the red ring (or dot for you new sleeker, more faulty xbox owners

) of death land.
They could always severly reduce the settings though, i'm sure some people wouldn't mind the graphics going through the floor as long as they can play with a friend.
Also, i'd love the PC version to have splitscreen, it's not like you can't plug in 360 controllers. If dynasty warriors (lol) can do it, so can crysis 2. In terms of raw power the low end enthusiast (i.e. using hd5850 and above) crowd should still manage 30fps at ultra high comfortably according to how much faster crysis 2 will run.
I've always wondered why it isn't used as much on PC, even though as you say its not like there is a lack of control options, I've been running dual Monitors for a while and I've wondered about running two instances of a game(one on each screen) and seeing if you could MP like that Serving off of the LOCALHOST, of course, one of these days I will actually get around to doing it hehe. not that im expecting great results, but I just wonder if it'd be possible
