So should I accept "father's" invitiation, even if i ultimately do not want to join with him?

My gut reaction is to kill this piece of garbage, so i just want to end the conversation immediately and shoot him a couple dozen times.

But I'm thinking that there is alot of content I would be missing out on if I give into this. Because it basically ushers you out of the institute if you decline his offer, and you can't seem to go anywhere but back to the relay.

I 'm thinking I play along for now, and then when they let me in, I kill everyone. any thoughts? would this ruin the game or what?

You can do that first couple of Institute missions without any major repercussions with the other factions. But there will come a point where you will have to choose a side and run with it.

I sat on the fence when it came to joining or not joining. I chose "maybe, we'll see." and was given a device that allows me to go there when ever I like.

One thing my SS had to remember was that she slept for 210 years in cryostasis. Her son did not. So if anyone actually has a better grasp of the realities of this world it is Shaun. Not my SS (and not me)

Who really knows better?

So I'll play along for now and see where it goes. I'll help capture some synths that are evil but that's about it.

Will I kill my son? I hope such a decision never comes up... but I did nearly shoot him before finding out who he was. Put my shotgun to his head and demanded Shaun. Was a shock to discover who Shaun was now lol I guess my first clue should have been how much he looked like Nate, only older.
