(Spoilers) Man Or Woman (Have you played them both?)

Post » Thu Dec 02, 2010 2:04 am

So If you have made both Male and Female Characters and have noticed minor diffrences, what did you like most or where you hopeing for it to be more fun?

And what have you played Man or Woman.

Allthough there was a funny (Romance scene)

(Spoiler below)

The one minor diffrence I found in the game was with the perk black widow I got the choice to have a rather (Funny)

Romance scene with Benny if you can call it that :)

Has anyone else found a diffrence in the game as a female or male?

I always switch around, sometimes male, sometime female.
Some thing are different.
But none are really noticeable, just play the other six and you'll see stuff from time to time.

I'm actually an oddball when it comes to RPGs, or games where I can sort of roleplay, I always pick the female option before the male. People find it weird, but I actually think differently when I'm rping as a female character. I think more conservatively and lean towards a stealthy playstyle, but when I play as a man, I charge in head on and pick more fights than I usually would.

Anyways, I've noticed a few differences, mainly in how the Legion treats you. I am bummed out that I can't fight in the arena as a female though (but today I tried it as a man and was disappointed in the arena anyways so whatever...). I mean there's a lot of differences compared to games where it's the same all around with both genders, but people will be flirty, or mean, or let their guard down in some situations with both.

Some difference.. more so with the six specific dialogue perks.
Some characters do treat you different based on their faction or at least position in that faction.
As of yet I've not found anything apart from the arena, that both sixes can't both do in another way just as easily.

However when I roleplay a female character,
I tend to make up a personality based on women around me, and how I would react to NV based on that.
Mixed with stories and personnal likes.

As a man I tend to just play as I am or how I'd see myself in NV, but more skilled and less handsome.

Other then the different voice of your character, some NPCs will interact with you differently. The most obvious of which are the members of Caesar's Legion. Here are some examples:

- If you are female, Aurelius of Phoenix will comment on how he doesn't understand why a women is given the mark of Caesar.
- You can only fight in the Legion Arena at the Fort if you are male. Otho (the ring master) will be very rude to you if you are a women and tell you how 'women are both intellectually and physically beneath man'.
- Siri (the slave that gives you healing powder) will tell you that it has been a long time since she last seen a free women since most females in the Legion are enslaved. She will also tell you to be careful as sixual assaults against woman are very common and that a few of the legionaries talked about hoe they want to 'try you out'.
- If you help the NCR wipe out the Legion forces at Cottonwood Cove in the quest 'Eye for an Eye', you will get extra XP if you are female and First Sergeant Astor will tell you how the Legion deserves this for their way of treating women.

There are many more examples. But here are just some off the top of my head.

Seducing Benny was the most important difference between genders for me.

Haven't played with a man yet, but i'd be interested to see if the is more "Confirmed Bachelor" dialogue than "Chercez la Femme" dialogue. I can only remember two instances of ClF dialogue, with Cass and Joana

Wow. Thanks, I've never seen that dialogue...the next time I wipe them out I'm going to enjoy it even more!

Back to OP: I haven't played a male character yet I've been thinking about it. It could be interesting or it could just P---Me Off. :D

My favorite part of being a girl was seducing Benny. It was soooo much easier than anyother method. But other than that it doesn't really make much difference.

When I RP as a girl I usually make her stealthy and stuff. I know, it's a stereotype but it's just so sixy ;)

I hated playing as a guy, I made a guy that I might find attractive, it svcked. I didn't find any special perks and I acted exactly the same as my female characters, maybe with less emphasis on speech. :whistling: and the guys in this game walk funny and they have square butts. :banghead: WHAT THE HELL?

Oh yes there are. Breeze's males is the most popular one i think. You can choose to install it with underwear if naked men make you feel uncomfortable.

Same here. I completely lost interest in Two Worlds II when I heard that you can't play as female.
I'm on my first playthrough with a female character with the Cherchez La Femme perk. I expected more bonus dialogue but I guess that homosixuality isn't that common in the wasteland.

Threads like this always make me remember how much I actually haven't done in the game. Playing as male is one of those "gonna do someday" things that, in truth, I most likely won't ever get around to at this point. From what I've read + poking in the geck + the wiki it doesn't seem like there's so much different that it'd be worth a whole playthrough for me. And I like playing as my own gender.

Not that I have any issue being male in games. I've been so in many games since it used to be that often that's the only option you had. :D

hmm off topic but a funny random on the forums.

It was a doublepost I edited.

On topic: I remember reading that using Confirmed Bachelor/Black Widow makes more female enemies spawn and using the Ladykiller/Cherchez La Femme make more male enemies spawn. Anyone know anything about this?

I've tried playing as a female character but I found the yelp when getting shot annoying.
