*spoilers!* I'm... sad regarding the ending... *spoilers*

Post » Sun Jan 13, 2013 5:41 pm

I completed the ending and I'm... not sure if I'm sad or... angry. I mean I killed Alduin and all I get is 3 really badly voiced NPC's chant "all hail dovahkin" yada yada yada than that beast of a man teleports me back to borring nirn, than Paarathanax tries to tell me something but all the other dragons were making a big hub-ub so I could't hear nor could I read the subtitles.

all in all I'm greatly disaspointed by the ending, I mean the fight was good, and when I returned to nirn I was expecting people dancing and celebrating but... once again... nothing changed, it all feels like a funeral, the only lively thing in this game is the music.

anyone else feel this? the second you kill Alduin it's just like it was before, nothing changed, sure no dragons but no one is celebrating, I would have prefered to let Skyrim burn by Alduin, at least then they would have been lively lol

Well, apparently, not everyone has completed the main quest by now.

When i completed the main quest for the first time it felt like i missed something,Like i did something wrong. It felt unfinished.
But i have played through it several times,Trying to get a better experience.

Afterall,The main quests of TES isnt really the thing you buy it for,Its the content.

I thought it was sad that Paarnutunax lost his older brother, whom he appeared to genuinely mourn despite the fight that happened earlier.

Well who knows that you defeated Alduin? People know that dragons have returned but they don't necessarily know that Alduin was about to eat the world and begin a new Kalpa. The people who are in the know show some change. I didn't think it was all that bad. And I loved the part with Parth and the other dragons flying around at the end.

Nope, although, fast traveling increases the chance of a dragon attack, try walking everywhere if you don't like that

If you have to say that there are spoilers in the title, then you should probably post the thread on the spoilers board.

Should be in Spoilers section, until then:
Spoiler
The main questline was pretty dull as it was and got worse when those random Nords in Sovngarde came and fought Alduin with me. I just thought that ruined the entire boss fight and rivalry between the Dragonborn and Alduin. And these random Nords that I don't even know just come out of know where and ruined it. After returning from Sovngarde I was pretty disappointed on what I just experienced and felt like I accomplished nothing.

I actually thought that the Main Quest was done particularly well, but other people seem not to think like me. Ah well.

Spoiler

The "Random Nords" are those heroes who used the Elder Scroll on Alduin to begin with. But I get what you're saying

I know who they were, but they weren't characters you knew personally throughout the main questline. It just made it awkward to have these random guys fight along side me when I only know them from a memory.

If they had have hyped them up a bit more, like, had books on their great deeds and lives and stuff then maybe it would work better. I mean, fighting with Ysgramor would have been awesome, but only because of how fleshed out he is as a character.

Spoiler
i was kinda bummed that there wasnt a better reward for finishing the quest, i mean aside from a couple of new shouts and a dragon priest mask all you get is the leveled loot in the few chests inside skuldafn.

Had no idea there was a spoiler forum, or I forgot about it...
Spoiler
The 3 "random nords" were actually the first 3 people who attempted to kill Alduin that you see when you use the elder scroll to go back in time, though I did only firgure that out like, 10 minutes after the fight.
