Spouse kidnapping question

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 5:48 am

I have read about female spouses being kidnapped. My question is, and I guess it's really two parts:

Are the females spouses being kidnapped non-combatants, and secondly, has anyone had a male spouse kidnapped?

I really can't see either of my character's spouses, Marcurio or Vorstag being kidnapped. I'd probably come home to dead bandit bodies in the yard! (hopefully not in the house)

I've seen reports about Aela getting kidnapped and acting glitchy when rescued like other spouses, so if that's true, I think it's safe to say that any type of spouse is at risk. Not sure if male spouses can get kidnapped, but I would imagine that, in the interest of avoiding controversy, they probably can be.

I dare someone to try and kidnap Farkas... and if they succeed I challenge them to a game I like to call Survival.

So far no kidnapping. But then again I leave him in follower mode. so thats likely why.

Mine still hasn't been kidnapped. To be fair, she can take down a legendary dragon, so I wouldn't try kidnapping her, either! :P

That's why I like combatant follower spouses! Let anything try to raid/attack my place!

Post kidnapping stories here if you would, I'd like to hear how they turned out!

The Bandits kidnapped Ysolda my wife, shes a vampire though :o couldent she have turned into a vampire lord and killed them all?

But yeah I went there she was in a cave with no bandits in it, and she coulda easily swam down a tunnel to get out, lol.

Dang, what's up with that? No bandits and she was still there? That just bites for rp the game.

I remember Lydia was kidnapped once and there were a few bandits guarding her inside Silent Moons Camp, she just stood there yelling at me to help her until I went up and talked to her..

Now that I think about it... It might've been a vampire that kidnapped her... I don't remember

The Lioness was kidnapped from my new home. She's a combatant.

I went there and rescued her. She helped me clean out the bandits. All seemed to go well and she's back at home now.

Kind of ridiculous, considering who can get kidnapped. I can't see anyone actually kidnapping someone like Aela... she'd have them for dinner. Literally.

Dont think the critical factor has anything to do with the level of viciousness of the spouse, my wife is Aela and pretty damn tough even when walking backwards everywhere but she still got kidnapped by the game AI

Think of it as... Your spouse got tired of being ignored.. left at home alone... So he/she went with the bandits, allowing them this little victory. That way you have to come and rescue her to show her yet again you care. Even if she could rip them apart while baking a home cooked meal.

Ok, I can go with that, for a female warrior.....Don't think I could ever look at Vorstag again if it were the case with him! LOL

Too true....but that wouldn't be the way to impress his Dovakhin wife! LOL

In all seriousness, if one has to rescue a kidnapped spouse, shouldn't it be much more difficult than what I'm hearing? It should be a big deal, or at least that's how I see it.

LMAO, that would be sight, wouldn't? But I bet we would still have a cozy profit, he'd be selling to the kidnappers! ( and we could take it all back after we kill them, how dare they! lol)
