Spray and... KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO WIN.

Post » Thu Jul 29, 2010 8:41 pm

Why is it when I'm at full composure, I can melee once, but RIGHT before I melee again, the dude panic sprays and right before the second coming of my knuckle sandwich connects with his face, He goes "PRSHWWWWWWWWWWW" and I die. Then I'm all like "WAT."

I'm serious. Even with the slow LMG, Spraying <--- Happens.

I'm not saying that melee should be reduced to OHK, but what other choice have you got? 2HK melees work with Halo, because the damage resistance is so high, you can say "That kill was legit", where you would win with melee in a CQC situation rather than panic hosedown, just as well as the Shotgun in Halo would win overall, how it's supposed to work.

Now, I think there is ONE solution to this; Make the melee slightly faster. Precise timing, so if you miss the second one, you will be punished with the bullet rain.

I think the soloution is to lessen the damage on the full auto weapons significantly to balance their rate of fire with damage, so we have a more balanced out come instead of "OMGZ GUy OVAR DER....BRAPP BRAPPP BRAPPP" rewarded with kill......

Maybe you are just not fast enough with the thumb stick. This doesn't happen an unusual amount to me and I have played close to 700 matches now. Maybe you should try the alt configuration and see if that works better for you. You seem to want this to be like Halo so you should feel right at home with melee as the "B" button. I'm not trying to rag on you, just saying that if you know when you use melee and when not to makes a big difference. also, try not to melee straight out of cloak as it will almost always take 3 hits instead of 2 making it easy for them to turn and fire. Just a tip from number 41 in kills in the world.

I prefer thumbstick, and I tested - It was at full punch speed capacity during MP as well, but for some reason, the feliners love BSING THEIR MAGS all over your face. It's a true fact.

The damage per second on the full autos are not proof enough? Couple that with the low skill factor of fully automatic and high aim assist.

Yesterday I was going 3-5 with the Grendel. So I switched to Scarab and finished the game 20-6.

The power of full auto's.

I love how these people assume you dont know how to play the game.

your position on the leaderboard means saaaweet FA.

Ive played 552 matches, have a KD of 3.50....going by your logic of using stats id say I quite know what im doing.

Spray & pray wins in this game and thats a fact, if your not full auto and spraying your at a disadvantage constantly.

Sounds like I want it to be Halo? Sounds like you want it to be COD. See what I did there? Id just like to see maximum armour having an effect rather than prolonging my death so I can see the guy hold the trigger down for an extra second.

If you havent grasped the Fact that the SCAR, SCARAB & Feline all have to much damage compared to their rate of fire then im sorry to say with those 700 hours youve obviously never experimented with any other weapon.

I sorta did, you know.
It's just the fire rate of the feline completely cheeses you.

Armor mode is a gimmick, its only meant to help you survive explosions, against a Feline it'll do **** all for you.

It makes 0 difference to turret survivability, sniper round survivability and melee survivability.

Survive +2 bullets!

Yeah, makes a huge difference when a million is pumped into you in a split second.

At least the K-Volt's fire isn't super-overpowered. I lose to feline regardless of energy draining rounds.

Thats why you hardly see the K-Volt , the Gauss rifle and the Mike because they are Anti-Armor mode weapons.

But because Armor mode svcks balls and doesn't work, these guns aren't needed.

I don't understand why they don't make Armor mode just like Single player, then there would be reasons to use the gauss and other weapons.

And you will think twice before picking your Go-To Feline with reflex,Silencer and extended mags.

Which is specifically how I got the 12 kills dogtag. And Rapid Fire.

Complete crap in SP against CEPH, I have to say.

One thing though - I didn't know that ADS was a complete waste of time with the feline. An SMG should never beat a shotgun in CQC. But it did. And oh, how badly it does. The Jackal's automatic actually did something in the demo.

my fav is when your cloaked and go for the stealth kill but it cocks up so you melee them, then hit them a second time and a 3rd they then turn around shoot and kill you lol....i find best way is to shoot then melee them for kill.

The thing thats strange is the Jackal in Semi auto fairs better than Fully auto in terms of combat effectiveness, and it out trumps the marshall in damage, hipfire, rate of fire and one shot kill range.

But it still will get pissed over with the Feline.

Here's my new strategy with melee I've been trying out with muuuuch better results. Its half melee technically. Melee once and then shoot. Only time I die is from other enemies watching me do it lol

I never use melee because somehow the player always slides out from my second one and somehow disappears, then reappears blasting rounds into me. I can't ever for the life of me tell when I melee someone as it doesn't give even a hit marker for it. Maybe if the did 1hko for all melee's it'd be a lot easier to use...
