» Sun Nov 11, 2012 2:08 pm On my first run through I was intrigued that my Dremora's (I have the twin souls perk) seem to have been taken over by a Spriggan. So I ran through it twice more to check that they did not turn on me because I had accidentally hit them. This is what I found on my last turn through:
I conjured a dremora just before activating the Eldergleam.
The first Spriggan to show up turned the Dremora green, but he did not attack me (yet). I let him take out that Spriggan so that there would be no question that I had accidentally hit him.
Next, I went down the path towards the exit.
When the next Spriggan started attacking me, my Dremora turned on me. Interestingly, even though the Dremora was siding with the Spriggan, the Spriggan still attacked the Dremora when it was in range. The Dremora would also take swipes at the Spriggan when it was close to it, but spent most of its time chasing after me. After the Spriggan had died, the Dremora eventually lost those green highlights, though it continued to chase me. When I sheathed my weapon however, it also sheathed its weapon.
Next I went down to where the two Nords hang out.
When I got down there I saw a Spriggan Matron and a Spriggan fighting each other. (The two nords were already dead.) Wow! They are killing each other!? I watched that fight until the Matron had killed the other Spriggan then summoned another Dremora. This time, even though the Matron turned the Dremora green, he finished her off and never attacked me.
It seems as though the first Spriggan had primed the Dremora to be taken over, but this did not take effect until the second Spriggan and I engaged in battle. Only then did the Dremora turn on me. That is why the second time, even though the Spriggan had turned the Dremora green he never turned on me because there was not a second spriggan around.
I may run through this one more time to see if they can do the same thing to an atronach.
