Spriggans are so annoying.

Seriously, my ONLY problem with this game is that they're so insanely overpowered. They regenerate health in like 5 seconds, and they're almost impossible to kill.

I have no problem defeating spriggans so far. Maybe you are too low level atm? Try stunning with bash or power strike or heal yourself while they heal. Am not playing as a mage myself but I could imagine fire should work very well on this type of enemy.

If you are having trouble you can also drop the difficulty level to make enemies easier to kill, then put it back up again when you are higher level. Had to do this to beat Falmer boss.

I had problems with all monsters at the beginning of the game :)

You won't believe how excited I was when I killed my first Giant (actually two of them that attacked me at hte same time) after dying from them because of my low level - but then I got a companion and got to level 12 and it's all good now :D)

I can now kill Spriggans really quickly and I'm level 12, so yea maybe it's the level. Most of the time what I do is get a sneak attack with a bow and then finish them off with my duel Dwemer swords (one causes Fear and the other 10 pts Cold damage, which I found quite useful).

If you have lots of stamina use the duel swords special attack (you press both M1 and M2 or whatever) and that it also really good.

The Spriggan regenerates only once for me, maybe she does more for you because it takes you too long to kill it - so yea in conclusion just try level up more and get perks that bring your Bow/Sword damage up - they are the the first perks in the skill tree so it won't be a problem :)

So most importantly:
Level Up
and
Get a 'follower'/companion'

Bah don't drop the difficulty as someone said. You're probably just too low level. I like that it's like this, without the obnoxious level scaling Oblivion had. You will run into things you aren't prepared for sometimes. That's good in my opinion.

Another recommendation for casting fire from your off-hand: seems to work very well and I've only had one regenerate so far (admittedly out of just four!) For annoyance, the Bloodmoon spriggans take some beating...

Kill them with fire! That's what I've done since I keep running into them in various caves, if you combine the flames spell, that you get at the start, in both hands, and run backwards they should be dead quite quickly :).

Killed two of them at once using only a bow. Lots of sprint kiting and had to quaff a few potions as well but they went down. Very fun. So glad the game isn't a total snooze fest like fallout 3 when it comes to combat.

Also, remember to take off the "Igrediente" that is on the Spriggan Body the first time that you kill it. Otherwise she will reborn.
