Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

How many of you have played this outstanding, awesome game and what do you think of it?
I give it a 9.5/10
It has exceptional story-telling, but the combat can be frustrating, if you have bursts of bad luck.

Assertion: Knights of The Old Republic is an awesome game.

Threat: Any one who says otherwise deserves a repeating blaster burst across the chest.

I'm sure most of us have played it. There was a thread yesterday about cancelled games. KOTOR 3 was the game most often mentioned. KOTOR was an awesome game, as was KOTOR 2 to a lesser extent. I wish that BioWare hadn't been bought by EA. We might have gotten the real third installment at some point.

KotoR 3 was cancelled by LucasArts...

At around the same time that BioWare started its relationship with EA (before being bought)...

KotOR is awesome, and the sequel is even better (if played with TSLRCM). I love those games.

I just beat the second one yesterday for the bajillionth time, though this time with the restored content mod and on PC. I really wish a 3rd was in production. Perhaps with new Star Wars movies, a third will come from the popularity in the next 3 or 4 years.

KoTOR is a brilliant game (though Taris drags a bit) but I thought KoTOR II was better in-comparison; I liked the characters more and that's always one of Obsidian's strong-points.

This thread made me realize I have never played these games. (Don't kill me)

I added them to my steam wishlist and hopefully I can get them soon.

I've only played 2 hours of it but of that, I enjoyed it quite a bit, I liked the combat and the quests that far were pretty decent and had fairly interesting characters, I wish it could be played on Windows 7. I also wish it didn't cause a Blue screen on my old computer.

It can't be played on windows 7? Bummer for me then :(
