I started walking,

I feel as if walking really impacted my ability to enjoy the game more.

Where as before running and fast traveling everywhere not only did I miss out on some great scenery but it also made me feel like an outsider in this world.

Now that I started walking I feel one with the game and can easily lose myself in my character so much so that I walk everywhere now and set my time scale to 1 making those daily power uses even more dramatic to use since it will be a full 24 at most to use it again.

Anyone else find walking enjoyable and that it changes the pace but also the mood of the game rather than rush through and kill everything I'm now able to enjoy every aspect of the game.

this applies for all of TES games, no? :) On a side note i like it now that i can actually walk and balance on some steep narrow path on the mountains, which im guessing is not an intended path

I tried walking in oblivion many many times but it never came through to be enjoyable to walk in oblivion for whatever reason.

I have never role played to the extreme of walking but now I find myself talking to the npc's because I feel a part of their world now not just a guest that runs around like a guy on skooma.

I actually found that horseback riding everywhere instead of fast-travelling did the trick for me.

I have tried so hard to not fast travel in all the bethesda games I have played, but I just dont have the willpower. If the land had more things to fight I would walk alot more, but as it is most of the time im just taking a peaceful walk and its pretty boring.

This was my thoughts as well at first but after setting my timescale to 1:1 the walks really only take maybe 20 - 40 mins depending on the destination and it brings a nicer sense of accomplishment.

Rather then run a minute away kill a few bandits and run back my day is spent on a quest or an adventure to new lands to battle foes and then come back I find the walk there and back is really the time to think about all the game gives in terms of immersion I have seen many travelers whom I would have just ran past in previous plays.
