starting to lag......the problem has to be

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:36 am

Okay I just play for a few hours and there was noticable lag.... I am level 18 31 hours in files size 7230 kb and in cities or near cities the lag gets pretty bad.......not unplayable though..... but if it gets any worse than it might become unplayable..... it svcks because the game is excellent.... the problem has to be with the way the game saves its files... I had zero problems for the first 22 hours....not even a studder..... now it seems to be lagging slightly in caves/open world and way more in cities.......

seriously if this problem isn't solved I will not buy any othe Bethesda games for the ps3....and if Bethesda can't fix the framrate dips and lag then they should ditch the ps3 altogether......

when is the second patch going to go live?

don't get mad....

Do this.....

Check if your hdd have enough space....if not make saves....and delete the games that your not playing right now...(to have 50 games installed is not a wise solution)....for this game especially....

turn your ethernet off...

turn autosaves off...

play every 2-3 again restarting your PS3 to clear the cache files from memory....(defragmenting is not a problem on PS3 consoles...)

don't have above 2 save files.....(i mean do not save every a couple of minutes on a new slot)

DON'T create a second character !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

every time to put off your console make backup of your saves.......(very important..........)

We all waiting for future patch very soon.........

Skyrim Patch Timeframe Unclear; Bethesda Working on Creation Kit and Bug Fixes
Posted in News on 16th November, 2011

There are a lot of issues with Skyrim, and Bethesda is trying to fix them all, but if the issue you have still persists even after the patch, Pete Hines, community manager for Bethesda Games said that he really doesn’t know if it it will fix whatever issues people are experiencing.

“We will fix as much as we can for your platform. I don’t know if it will fix “your” bug. Takes a while to test/fix/regress. Hang in there,” he said.

He was also unsure about the ETA for the patch, as players are getting quite angry as we reported earlier. Most of the issues are seen in the console version, which is obvious since it’s such a huge game.

He also said that they are working on the creation kit and the bug fixes together.

“Sorry, not going to give timeframes on this. We’re able to do both at the same time.”

Lets hope it’s not a huge wait, as it can get really complicated with such a huge game. Hines said that he doesn’t know what the update will fix either.

“I don’t know what the update will address until their completely done with it. Things change all the time.”

Don't believe Hines.
He's just PR. His job is publicity and promotion.
He doesn't know anything or at least won't reveal anything regarding technical stuff.
He's the same guy who said that they showed mixed gameplay of all platforms in the previews..

As far as I'm concerned the stupid Creation Kit is the last thing that needs to be worked on. Fix the issues first, then worry about the stupid Creation Kit, it won't hurt PC users to have to wait on the Creation Kit so they can start their modding.

If a patch can't fix the PS3 issues, then Bethesda better be considering a product recall, so they can properly work on the PS3 version.

Bet the PC users wouldn't agree...

But it's in everyone's best interest to put ALL focus on this issue. More satisfied customers = more income = bigger budget for the next one. I guess.
