Stat Requirements for Guild Ranks

Take the title for reference. Whatever happened to them? Was there a specific reason they were taken out? I feel as though most complaints of how short guilds were could have been addressed by such a minor thing. I remember in Morrowind, with the Telvanni, for example, I'd do some low level quests for the mages, and eventually I'd have to go out into the world by myself to improve upon those skills to secure a higher position, rather than finishing an entire guilds questline in one sitting. I have a feeling a lot of skyrim players did the latter, and felt cheated because of it. (That not being the sole reason, mind you.)

The only issue I could have seen from this is the whole "Skyrim isn't based on classes". But that's easily solved by, say, having hte college say "To properly earn the resepect of the college, and to attain archmage, you must have at least a 90 in one of the following schools: destruction, etc, etc." Because what is an archmage that can only cast frostbite for 10 seconds? Not much, in the bigger scheme of things.

All in all, I'm just musing on how the guilds could have *seemed* to be more in depth, to have that feeling of working towards a rank, that I feel they lack. I'm not saying they should add anything like it to skyrim now, that'd be silly. But would it be a feature you'd like to see comeback in later elder scrolls games?

I would definitely love guild ranks and requirements to make a return too. But to be honest I don't think even ranks and skill requirements in guilds would have saved the horrible excuses for guilds in Skyrim.

I've advocated for this for a very long time.

Being able to become the Archmage of the College of Winterhold, for example, without any sort of magical skill simply cheapens the experience.

...I really don't have much else of substance to say on the matter, so I'll simply add my voice in support of Bethesda bringing requirements back for The Elder Scrolls 6: Eclectic Boogaloo. I also support said title becoming official.
