Status Ailments in Skyrim

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 12:56 am

Poison and diseases often had detrimental affects in previous Elder Scrolls games.

Now that I'm in Skyrim with the 'new menu system'...

How can I tell I'm sick?

I ask this because people have been remarking "You look a little ill..."

Now I've not been mixing with Vampires (in fact I couldn't even tell you if they have them in Skyrim so let's not spoil anything) but I did sample my entire ingredient catalogue when I realised it gave me the affects of each item.

So is there anything that gives you an indication that you're ill?

If so how do you fix it?

Thanks in advance.

In magic, under "active effects", they will be alist of any effects, including disease.

To cure them, go to any temple in any of the cities, or use a cure disease potion/spell.

You press "P" to bring up the Magic menu and choose the category "Active Effects". Any red-coloured effects indicate a negative buff, be it a disease or curse. You can of course examine the effects to precisely see what you've contracted during your dragonslayings.

Thanks guys.

I'm still getting used to the new menu system and I now realise where that information is.

Big help.

Cheers
