It seems like enemies only show as red dots when they are actively hostile; if they are not yet aware of YOU then they don't show on your radar. I'm mixed about this. On the one hand, it never really made sense that I could magically know who was ~going~ to be hostile and where they were.... but on the other hand, I've rounded the corner and bumped into a lot of raiders.
I like it so far. I have to sneak around and do recon, actually use my eyes to spot enemies and not red dots. I find the stealth way abit more challenging now, you need to invest some points in the Agility perks and you really should get sniping from perception. All in all i think its a huge improvement on previous titles in the Fallout franchise and Skyrim.
I find that so annoying. Nothing's better than sneaking around a corner and having a pack of feral ghouls right up your face. Or raiders. And then having the whole place after you.
VTAS is the only way to see if someone (thing) is hostile. I've made a couple of mistakes already and had to go back to a save. So don't just shoot that guy who looks like a feral ghoul - he might not be. I would prefer a higher level friend-or-foe skill (something I had to work to get) be available.
That's one problem with Stealth. The second are the companions. I don't even bring them anymore, if I'm sulking around a building. They break my stealth every time. Right now, i park them outside. This is something that needs to be fixed. Because I want to get to know all the companions. Especially since many of them are romance options and have their own quests/drama.
Anyone know why my perception is at (-)0? I have no addiction, full health, visited a doctor countless times. What is going on? Think I found a bug?
