so far i hadnt seen confirmation of how stealth will be dealt with in TESO. i dont know how far along they are in gettin it ready for release, if its too late to adjust whatever they been doin with that or not, but i have an idea...part of the controversy over how to deal with stealth on MMORPG games as far as i understand is how to create a logical and effective way for players to be "unseen" by npcs or enemies and even PVP players situations. in WOW stealth users basically became invisible. while it technically got the job done it was somewhat illogical in PVP situations out in the open in clear daylight. therefore the suggestion is to merge a stealth system similar to an invisibility effect when dealing with NPC and enemies with a system based on the PS2 game called "Demon Stone" which was based on the DnD roleplaying game. in demon stone, the rogue character had an invisibility effect active when sneaking in areas of shadow. im not entirely sure how they scripted that to happen but it made more sense to do it that way. also the rogue could re-stealth themselves in midcombat if the enemies were preocupied with other fighters at the moment the roggue stepped back into shadows. since some of elder scrolls rogue/stealth mechanics in the original games oblivion and skyrim seem to follow rules of logic as it pertains to sneaking in shadows versus sneaking in mid daylight in the open then this system, if it could be implemented, i think would be logical as well as decent solution. any other thoughts?
