Stealth in the next TES game

Who thinks Bethesda should focus more on stealth this time than they did in Skyrim? Being a thief in Skyrim is useless. Who thinks you should always slit someones throat or do a one hit kill animation on anything if your sneaking is high enough and you have the right perks?

What? No.

Why would Beth focus on one aspect more than another aspect. Just because it caters to your style, doesn't mean it should be the thing they focus on the most.

Not more than the others, but they should at least give a sh*t about stealth. And anyway, my style is more of a run in and kill everything type.

Focus in skyrim on stealth would make it very boring for people who don't like stealth. if you mean focus on improving it, then perhaps, but I don't think the problem lies in constant one hit kill animations as that would be boring too.

Yeah, I meant focusing on improving stealth, not make it stealth based.

Well, sneak + archery + daggers is already one of the most powerful builds in the game....what more do you want?

They should make the stealth like the old Thief games for those who want to ghost (never get seen) their way through areas, add in a way to incapacitate enemies without killing them. Unarmed choke hold, hit them on the back of the head, whatever.

They should also make the more aggresive minded stealth be like Farcry 3 where stealth felt very rewarding, imo. Doing vicious take downs and being able to drag the body away after the kill, or take that dead foes weapon and throw it at a nearby one, and so on.

Stealth should be able to cater both to those who wish to never be seen and never wish to kill enemies, as well as those who want to play a stealthy guirrella warfare type playstyle. The more playstyle options the better, imo.

I have stealth implemented in almost all my characters (duel wield assassin, nightblade, archery thief). And is no way stealth underpowered; actually quite the opposite.

Go try making a sneak + marksman character in Oblivion and tell me how that works out.

Stealth has never been better in a TES game than what Skyrim brought. Should they add more features? Yes of course. Poisoned throwing weapons, ability to scale walls and buildings, the ability to actually play a non violent thief!

Sneaking up behind people and slitting their throat quitly would benifit ALL play styles.
