I keep getting the following error message every time it appears I would have received a Steam achievement:

I just installed the game and didn't do anything to enable the console, is there something in particular I need to do to disable it in order to activate Steam achievements?

Maybe imputing "+seta com_allowconsole 0" into the launch options for the game would help. I'm not entirely sure as I don't own the BFG Edition, but it's worth a try.
