Steam activation code missing from box

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:45 am

Ok, I just bought my skyrim box today. I went back home and opened the box, put the cd in my dvd player, logged in steam...

The first time steam asked for the activation code, I couldn't find it.

In the end, I realized the sticker was there, in the box, just below the disc slot, but it was absolutely blank.

Steam forums are down, I opened a ticket, and I'm preparing to wait...

Ok, I don't expect to find a solution there, but if someone has ever experienced the same problem, it could help me feeling less f...ed up... in a way.

Did you try to look at the back of the manual or something?

Manufacturing defect. If you can go to the retailer and demand a new copy. If you ordered online, contact their support staff and demand a return. This isn't a Steam issue.

the code is literally on a sticker under the area the disk is held within the box. If it is blank then..... you might be screwed out of your hard earned cash. The code was not on the back of my manual.

I agree with Níeh?ggr here. If Mijaja brings it back to where they bought it I suspect they'll exchange it without a hassle.
