I have a disc too and steam allways start the download...
I stoped it, after 5 min Steam starts again with the download

So nice. I downloaded 5GB and i have the Disc. FUKC OF STEAM!
I hate this program so much!

Is it really so hard, to make it easy for the consumer?

AND WHY IS THERE NO BUTTON TO DELETE THE STEAM DOWNLOAD OF THE GAME?!?!

I cant disable this download function... just stop it, and it starts again HAHA

!!!!! Will Bethesda Softworks pay my bill if i come over my download limit?

And for all the unknow how say "the game isnt released yet"... I live in europe and the game is released since 7 hours.

I found the steam download to work just fine, and im not very savvy at stuff like this.

This is taking forever... why won't it DL from THE FRACKIN DISK I JUST STOOD IN LINE FOR TWO HOURS FOR???!!! What was the point????????

If it's not installing from the disk, then there is a issue... sometimes it happens, but the game "should" install from the disk.

For the future: Make games more easy to install of this will be my last PC game i ve ever bought...

I think you should go to the PC section of the boards. Summer posted a workaround. Mine is dowmnloading fast now. 20 minutes left

Go to the topic that was locked, look at what Summer posted on the 2nd post. Follow those instructions and stop [censored]ing here, Steam works fine if you would just calm the [censored] down and read the [censored] manual (figuratively speaking, of course).

Not sure but it is past midnight and my brain is not working well. So I am glad it was posted here. In the future it would be good to put it in the right place..but maybe this spot will help more brain dead like me.

Not that I'm trying to be mean or anything, but if you had taken the time to Google the issue... instead of just complaining and letting it happen, you probably would had a fix a lot sooner. Logic should have dictated that disk + game = installing from disk. I mean really have you ever bought a retail game that has to be downloaded, that would defeat the purpose for a retail game would it not?
