I don't know. Although Steam did download another 7.6 MB for Skyrim today.

I believe they were patches there was another one a few days ago i think.

they let people download the actual game .exe today

As it (at least mine) still says preloading I assume it's the patch (though I'm not that familiar with Steam); I'm sure other people said earlier they had had the patch download after they had preloaded.

I'm downloading 350 mb, rather big .exe...
