I received a Steam client update a few weeks ago.

Since that time, RAGE has gone into double lag time and ultimately black screen, where before I never had a problem with lag OR crashes.

Earlier this morning [Sat AUG 17 2013] I received a RAGE update.

I also discovered a new AMD Catalyst driver update available from AMD as well so I figured there was nothing left to lose.

Wrong.

Now RAGE only goes about 5 mins again with lag and seizes and crashes.

Personally I think the whole Steam idea is both bogus and useless - to me anyway.

I will never buy another Steam connected game whatsoever - and will go out of my way to see that others do not as well.

The Steam client interferes with lower end processors and has served me no purpose.

(Well, except for the Scorchers DLC, but this current state of affairs is entirely unacceptable).

Either someone up at Steam needs to get off their ass and sort this mess out or I can assure you Steam will go the way of the 8-track tape and the VHS player.

Thank gawd I have other NON-Steam games on my PC though I still wish to play RAGE - especially for as much money as I spent on the game.

I hope by posting this here someone at gamesas and/or id will get on the horn and "help them sort this out".

And soon I might add.
