I was just checking here to see if there were any details and found nothing.

TESV.exe is the only thing that was changed.

Yes, I just got an 18.6 mb update. I don't see any notes on Steam; wonder what it is.

At first I wondered if it was a download of the Kit, but looking in the tools menu it isn't there and I don't think that would download automatically anyway, the New Vegas GECK didn't and needs to be installed seperately so not sure what this update did

Oh. I just posted about this in the PC hardware/software forum.

File version says 1.1.21.0. What was it before? Also, the main exe (TESV.exe) says it was updated today in the file properties.

Nah, I'm sure Todd Howard just reminded himself to push the Awesome Shadows button this time.

This is a bit frustration, what happened to the 'update history' that came with Steam games?

They never usually have any real update info if the game isn't a Valve game.

I doubt it's anything earth-shattering. It's probably only fixing a few minor issues that were quickly identified and easily fixed (or one major issue). One of the few good things about Steam is that a game can be incrementally patched with little fixes here and there, rather than players having to wait weeks for one big patch.

Ooh! Seeing the Steam pop-up made me exited for a moment. Then I realized this couldn't be the highly anticipated 2nd patch...

Phew! I thought something was wrong when I got the message it was finished downloading - been playing it since it came out - glad to know I'm not alone in this boat. Well met brave adventurers of Skyrim!

From what I've gathered it has something to do with being able to play Skyrim without going through Steam, something they have apparently corrected now.
I have no idea if that's true or not.

Yep. No more 4gb patch or anything else. Gives the usual steam 'encrypted' error if you patch it, and try to play.

4gb patched post-"updated" exe
