So I was sitting down to marathon an Anime the other day when I decided to find myself something hearty to munch on. Only was it as I was returning the plate to the kitchen that I realized that I had picked myself a pretty stereotypical meal for someone from Iceland, a salmon and egg sandwich, some canned tuna and a length of stockfish (Atlantic wolffish).* While not being any sort of a stereotypical meal by itself, it is a rather prevalent stereotype that Icelandic people eat a lot of fish, and I couldn't help but wonder how many others might find themselves engaging in rather stereotypical behaviors for any group they might belong to, unintentionally.
So share stories of yourself (and to keep this in good spirits, yourself only ) finding yourself in similar shoes, having contributed to a stereotype without really thinking of it beforehand.
