Steward furnishing function

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 4:36 am

Hi there,

I have a question about the furnishing function of the stewards.
With my second character I became a bit lazy and decided to let my steward do the furnishing of the rooms.
It tooks ages, so eventually I went in there and built whatever I could with my remaining building materials.
Is my steward going to do the rest? Because he seems also to need ages to mount a few elk heads on the wall...

I already spent the gold, so do your work!

For whatever reason, they do furnish, but it takes a long time. You might come back to your house and find some things have been placed but not all. I got tired of waiting for my entryway to be done, so I did it. Later, I came back and display cases and stuff I had not built and decided I didn't want were there. PITA! I would recommend, if asking the steward, to wait for a few days or more before furnishing it yourself next time.

I did.
A few things popped up here and there and I realized that it would take a very long time, so I helped the guy by building what I could to accelerate the process.
The real question is now: will he finish the rooms eventually?

Wish I was more help, but can't answer that. Part of my enjoyment was in building what furninshings I wanted in the houses rather than make them what I consider overcrowded and junked up. There is a minor glitch with the remodel of the entryway, and a couple things I liked that only the steward would put in. Found out the hard way about them and furnishing. Now I will just do all my own furnishing. There will be someone else who will be able to tell you I'm sure.

Well, thank you for your answers so far. :)

He will finish the rooms eventually, but as far as I know he will also build everything you have, he does the entire room not just part of it. So I would not use any containers in those rooms in case you lose something.

So I wasted my resources without accelerating the process he finishs the rooms, because he builds everything that I helped him with new?
Great.

Do you have a save game you can go back to to save them?

That would be way back, so I will just play on.
That character swims in gold anyways.
I really did not saw coming that the steward will build the same stuff I built before instead of just adding what I did not.
