ID is still alive ?

Almost 1 month the game is out, still no patch .... (of course for ATI cards)

Exept some ugly textures (i just play 5mn, i am afraid to played more with so many bad reports with ATI Cards).

I got a bug with the door of the driver we meet at the beginning. Here the door should be closed ....
[img]http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/7287/rage2011102918484153.jpg[/img]
But i can see outside ...

Now I was 10.11 Preview 3 and I spent 11.10 WHQL (everyone say to me the driver number is most recent) and here is the result:

Before (11.10 Prev3):

After (11.10 WHQL) [:tinostar] :

Are you sure you are working with ATI ?
Because the ATI version is most recent, the drivers are the same (D3D, 2D, CCC, Audio) but not the OpenGL who pass from 6.14.10.11299 to 6.14.10.11161 ....

Totally lost all respect for ID and Bethesda after this launch. I mean really more than a month post launch the mouse issues in menu's textures not loading on ATI cards it's a [censored] joke.

Bethesda is too busy not caring thinking about all the money they are about to make from Skyrim and ID just doesn't give a [censored] because they have our money just like it says in the game

Why would you be mad at id. Its ATIs problem. Ati even said so. Thats the reason I switched years ago. Every other driver kept breaking quake wars. Ati has always had bad drivers. They sure as how can not make open gl drivers. Rage runs perfect on ps3, 360 windows and Linux in Wine using Nivida cards. You need to switch video cards or get on ATIs case. Meanwhile I will be playing rage maxed out 60 frames per second on my moderately powered pc.

Why wouldn't you be mad at ID. I looked at the published minimum system requirements to run Rage, and my system (including an ATI 6870) more than meets the minimums. Why would ID post these specs if they hadn't tested with ATI video cards and drivers. It is not ATIs problem, although they most certainly will be part of the solution. If Rage is incompatible with AMD/ATI video cards, Bethesda/ID should not have listed these products as being compatible. It is Bethesda's and ID's responsibility to get the game working with hardware that they have stated as being compatible. Meanwhile I''m out my $60 for a game that is unplayable with no recourse.

Your comment is utter nonsense and ignorant!!! No offense intended.

AMD themselves have admitted that their driver is the problem. What part of that do you not understand? No offense intended.

Did AMD also apologize for the pop in still effecting nvidia users too? What about the [censored] up close textures, AMD apologize for them too? Locked PC console commands? Consoles having issues with pop in... or are you just gonna blindly march in the hammer legion? Offense intended.

Nope, but none of those make the game unplayable which is what the post I replied to was blaming id for.

The game has issues on Nvidia as well, It is just funny that they two big company's can't fix their game. When Red Orchestra 2 launched it was filled with bugs and it was fixed fairly quickly by a small team. Also having to change how many threads the game detects because I have a Intel Ati combo and this game doesn't like that.

The biggest issue I have is not performance or texture popin I have that covered it is the mouse accel

To the best of my knowledge all Nividia problems have been fixed after the first driver update which took 2 days after launch. The game runs perfect for me on my card. Do you have any evidence to back your statement up? Red Orchestra 2 uses the old dx unreal 3 engine. Clearly the problems with that game are internal and not external drivers. Id has said its not their fault. Ati and Nividia both said the problems were there drivers. Nividia fixed the problem where Ati did not.

Whats mouse accel?

I think ATI developers such as idSoftware have to push the horse ahead. I am more intrested in open each evening the Bethesda Softworks Forum than the Rage game itself. The AMD ATI dirvers are missing. There is no patch out for AMD ATI users. The game still looks like a pancake against a wall. The AMD ATI partner that is calling himself the gamer choice i mean Sapphire still have no good drivers for RAGE and is already out with the v.10.9.
The reality is that idSoftware fails with his origin. Fails with PC gamers doesn't matter if with ultra-power PC or barely good PC they just FAIL BADLY. This idSoftware have to recognise and maybe refound as fast as possibile every game sold for about 60 euro or 60 dollars that is not working at all on PC that are more than capable to run at 60fps Battlefield 3, Deusix Human Revolution, Metro 2033, Crysis 1 and Crysis 2, FarCry2, Bulletstorm, Bioshock 2, and many others.
My pc is about 7 years old and still runs like a beast each of the game above with:
Intel Core2Duo E6700
4GB Ram DDR2
Ati Sapphire 4850 1GB GDDR3
2HD in RAID mirror
Vista 32 bit
I guess what idSoftware is there for if after 1 month is not capable to release anything that goes far from let their game running. If they developed Rage to be a console game why they simply didn't release it on consoles? Why idSoftware you fail on your origin and fail on PCs?

Take it up with your video card manufacture bro. Has nothing to do with ID.
