Still Hearing The Same 4 Songs Over and Over and Over and...

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:56 pm

Has anybody had any success getting the bugged tracks to play?

I scanned the topic titles from the past few days and saw no mention of it.

If its being discussed in an existing thread, can someone please link me to it?

Thanks much.

I'm pretty sure I've heard some "new" songs while on the strip today. Don't know the names of the songs, but they didn't sound familiar.

While in the Wasteland, the radio is still only playing the same songs post-patch that were being broadcast pre-patch.

I'm thinking about wiping the game and patches off my HD, and then freshly reinstalling them one after the other. :brokencomputer:

Its a long shot, but what else can I do?

Or you can put in songs on your 360 and play those songs instead that way you don't hear the songs they play over and over again.

I'm guessing you're new to the Fallout series, because you clearly miss the point... I sat through the entire intro to Fallout 2 every time I booted the game just to listen to Satchmo's "A Kiss to Build a Dream On," and music's role in cementing the vibe and legitimacy of a world obsessed with retro Americana can't be understated.

I may be mistaken, but wasn't this patch was suppose to fix the problem of songs not playing? As I understand it, the tracks are already there, they're just FUBAR-ed by bad coding,

PS. why should I have to?

i played FO3GOTY. However i listen to the Mr. News and play my custom music. Got annoyed listening Johhny Guitar so why not listen to custom music on the 360... That way i'm not going be annoyed. Instead of complainning about it i just did something about it.

Its a suggestion since clearly you missed the point of a tempory solution.

Why you should do it... well you have a tempory solution or just turn the radio off and play the game...
Hm so many choices... complain and wait a month for a new patch or so, upload CD's to the 360 and listening to them played throughout the game, or just turning the radio off for the rest of the game.

That's why you should do it.

Another post like that and I'm likely to think your intelligence is... suspect.

1.) I didn't miss the point, but your temporary solution... isn't. That much was made and should have been clear to you.

2.) I never said I was annoyed, only that I thought this had been patched and that I was experiencing the same issue post-patch, as I had pre-patch.

3.) What I was looking for was confirmation that I wasn't the only one and that it was a known bug.

4.) You left out the 4th option of leaving the radio on... which sometimes I do and other times I turn it off.

5.) I'm fine with waiting a patch, so long as its been acknowledged as a "known issue" to be fixed.

I had this problem and to make it worse the radio only played Johnny Guitar over and over and over again. So I did exactly what has been suggested, I visited my grandparents and borrowed a bunch of cd's from the 50's, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Chuck Berry, Elvis, that kind of thing. End result was a far better playlist than comes with the game.

I know you shouldn't "have to" but look at it this way. You'll never have to hear those four songs ever again :celebration:

This has been solved for me since the last patch. Song like http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/I%27m_So_Blue and http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Goin%27_Under started appearing on the radio, and they never did before.

I did start a new game after the patch though.
