Is it still possible to get Steam achievements even with Mon

I was wondering.

Does it bypass Steam, or are you still logged into Steam?

It is entirely possible to get steam achievements. You can still open the Steam Overlay, ergo you can still get achievements (provided you don't use the console).

Thanks for the answers.

Actually it does disable achievements (for that session).

Solution:

1) do whatever you need with the console
2) save
3) immediately reload the same save
4) go about playing and earning achievements

that would be true if this was FO:NV, but it's not.

I've seen achievements pop up while using the console (even while commands like TGM were active)
So stop spreading false information just because you want to scare cheaters.

Console doesn't disable achievements. I've used it and got achievements to make sure (and my wife uses the console all the time and still gets hers)

Is there some tangible benefit to steam achievements or is it just fluff?

Nope, TGM does not disable achievements. You don't even have to do any of the above steps. All you really have to do is go through a loading door or talk to an NPC.

To fix the TGM not allowing item weight to not affect your characters speed just briefly hit the Sprint button. You'll be able to run again.
