I've been on a settlement building kick for the last 6 hours. I'm trying to figure where I can go for the most well rounded variety of shipment types(mostly, wood, steal and ceramic). I've been going back and forth from Diamond City, scrounging up purified water to sell to the merchants in the city and then fast traveling back to my settlement to build up shop. I'm starting to notice that merchants that sell shipments are a little rare? Could I be wrong? I've seen the 2 merchants in good neighbor selling shipments too but not the materials I need. Is there any other merchants I can hit that will have shipment's for me beside's Diamond City and Goodneighbor?

And are there any other major city areas beside's those 2 place's that are somewhat civilized?

As far as I know all vendors sell shipments of certain materials...in diamond city, the female vendor sells ceramic and metal...and at night the robot that takes her place also sells ceramic and metal buy from both in a single trip, also I have seen the robot sell up to 4 shipments of metal at once...also could try the prydwen..not sure everything he sells, but he has fiber optics...also the trashcan lady..some balding dude I've only seen a couple of times..and the covenant, but I made them mad so I can't trade there..as for wood, you could always go around a few random settlements and scrap all there wood then go into the workbench and take it, and bring it to your settlement you are working on.

Good info. Might need to trip back to Covenant to check it out there. I did the quest line and it didn't turn out well for them. Hopefully theyre still up to trade...

I've seen shipments at other vendors too but I can't recall exactly who and where. I think Deb in Bunker Hill sells some plus the traveling traders that usually operate there.

I'm sorry - what is a shipment? Is that like a bulk amount? I've got 20 hours into the game and I havent even made it to Diamond City yet!!!

Yea shipment's are bulk amounts of resources for settlement building. I wouldn't recommend thinking about purchasing them as of yet for you. Mainly because they're expensive early on in the game. You'll blow caps out the wazoo.
